There is a learning curve with these
I normally wear Suacony or Hokas, and these are very similar, except for one ting. The sole. The sole is rounded, or curved, when you stand in them its like you are on a rocker board. The descriptions says "Unique heel to toe geometry designed to lessen muscle tension and promote a natural mid-forefoot strike". but until you actually put them on, I dont think you are totally prepared for the feel of them. I think these will take some getting used to. I will go for my normal 5 mile walk and really give them the test. Other than the rounded shaped sole, they fit perfect. I am a solid 9 1/2 in almost all my shoes and I got these in a 9 1/2 and they fit perfect. The material is thin and stretchy, lots of air flow which is nice, I live in the desert southwest and my walks get hot and these seem like they will let a lot of air flow in. I will update this review once I have really worn them.

Update May 6th: My original 4-star review is below. I wasn’t sure I would ever get comfortable with these shoes. I tried them off and on for several weeks. I did have to learn to adjust my gait, but I did, and it was definitely worth the effort. The cushioning in these shoes is so amazing. I love how my feet feel in them.*******I have avoided the maximalist (high-cushioned) running shoes until now, because they just looked too weird to me, but I decided to give these a try. Mizuno is a quality brand, and the shoes are definitely well made. I saw reviews online that suggested going a half-size up, and that was good advice. I ordered an 8 instead of my usual 7 1/2, and they fit perfectly. In addition to having a thick, plush midsole, these shoes are rocker-style with less cushioning under your heel. This is reminiscent of the Roots shoes from the 70s, and this design is good for developing calf muscles. It’s not the best design for someone who is a heel striker, and I happen to be one. If you’ve never worn this type of shoe, it definitely takes some getting used to. While the midsole cushioning is very comfortable and supportive, I find that I constantly have to remind myself about the negative heel so I don’t plant my feet the wrong way and trip. That said, these are quality shoes, so if you are comfortable with this design, they’ll probably work well for you.

Great Track And Cross Country Shoes
I ordered these shoes for my wife in the white-black color. Unfortunately, due to her bunion she is not able to wear them for extended periods of time, but she mentioned they feel great otherwise. However, during our granddaughter's visit, who is a track and cross country runner, she absolutely loved them. These shoes are designed for running and come with appropriate padding, but are also suitable for everyday use. The arch support and foot cushioning are outstanding. The curved sole makes running feel effortless, while the stable sole works perfectly for cross-country running.The soles are stable and do not tend to twist, and the traction is good on most surfaces. These shoes are lightweight, yet durable and well-made. The sizing and product description are accurate, and they arrived quickly without any issues. Overall, I would highly recommend these shoes and would definitely purchase them again.
