The shoe is comfortable, soft, and lightweight. The durability is good, as I use it for work every day and it holds up well.
First thing that drew me in about these shoes was the color. I love fun colors for running shoes, so these met that requirement for me. I’ve never had Mizuno shoes for running before so I was a little uncertain how I’d like them. (I usually buy ASICS, Saucony or New Balance.) I read a lot of online reviews that were mostly positive all around for Mizuno running shoes, so I decided to give them a shot. I’ve taken them out for a few runs now and so far so good! They’re comfortable and fun. I’ve read many reviews of people saying these shoes run small. That is NOT my opinion at all! I bought my normal shoe size and they fit like every running shoe I’ve ever had in that same size, so no issues with sizing for me at all. Width is a standard medium width as well; they don’t feel narrow to me. The other thing I was looking for in a pair of running shoes is a durable outsole. I do not know why, but it seems all running shoe brands are switching to a foam sole with a very thin lining of rubber. Those foam soles do not last long at all! The rubber on those wears out so quickly which is ridiculous when you’re spending $150+ on a shoe! Now, These Mizuno’s have a “normal” standard sole with a thicker rubber lining that will take a long time / many miles to wear down. They’re like the running shoe soles that all companies used to have. I wear my running shoes into the ground and really get my use out of them, so with these Mizuno soles, I’ll certainly be getting my money’s worth!Long story short, these shoes run true to size, are comfortable and they have a durable outsole that is bound to last for quite a long time. It’s the first time I’ve tried Mizuno running shoes, but I’m guessing it will not be my last! No regrets with my purchase.
I just got these Mizunos. I am a Mizuno loyalist because of their literally never ending comfort. I am very excited to find they paired up with Roxy to make this super cool, beautiful version of the Wave Rider 27. It seems that in the USA, we mostly get ugly or boring versions to pick from, so this really made me happy. They do cup my foot a little more than Wave Inspire or the Wave Skye versions I have bought in the past. I always wear a regular size 9 in sports shoes and sometimes an 8.5 in dress shoes. If your foot borders in-between a 9 and 9.5, go with the 9.5. I no longer am a runner, but if I was, I might size up for a little more length. My big toe is close to the end, but after walking around my house, my foot is not sliding, so that doesn't bother me. Wave Rider is my favorite style of Mizunos and I am very happy with my purchase.
These are my 4th pair of Mizunos; I really appreciate how these sneakers make me feel. Each of my previous three pairs (Wave Rider 21, 23 and 24) lasted for around 3 years (not bad at all) and I wore them for working out, walking, running errands and traveling. For the past year, I have been wearing Asics Kinsei Blast and Asics Cumulus sneakers and they're also very comfortable, yet somehow my feet cannot tolerate the Asics Nimbus or the Asics Dynablast at all. Not all sneakers' models are created equal despite belonging to the same brand, as I found out the hard way.So, I decided to revisit my trusty old Mizuno Wave Riders brand. As expected, they are still super comfortable. I ordered the neon pink ones and they're super stylish. Both Mizuno and Asics are highly regarded Japanese brands, thus suitable for my narrow ankles and wider toe box needs; that's my analysis anyways. My local shoe store diagnosed my gait and recommended the Wave Rider for me a few years back and they were on the mark with their expert recommendation. Yet, that store no longer carries Mizuno. Nordstrom does not carry Mizuno anymore either. Thus, I am very grateful Amazon continues to carry Mizuno Wave Riders.
I've been wearing Mizuno running shoes for years, and although I've slowed to speed walking now, these shoes are great. They're perfect out of the box, with great support in the arch, and a comfortable lining. If they get wet, they dry quickly. They are also lightweight, which is a plus.If you prefer a "stiff" running/walking shoe, this may not be the one for you, but if you want something that's flexible with great support, I'd definitely recommend. They're exactly what I've come to expect from Mizuno - in all the right ways.
I've been running in these shoes for years. I liked some years models less than others. This one fits a little bit more snug than other models. Has loosened out a bit since wearing them but this model is not my favorite due to the snug fit. Overall I still like the wave rider.
Love these shoes, might suggest new insoles after a few months but otherwise hold their shape and are comfortable for gym, work, and outside hikes. Fabric dries fast when wet or damp. Removed laces and washed in washer on delicate.
