Good Grip and Arch Support

These running shoes have performed well on the varied trails I frequent. My initial run was on a familiar rocky path in the Ramapo mountains, and the firmness of the sole was immediately apparent. The fit for my usual size 8.5 was accurate, securing my heel without being too tight in the toe box. The cushioning felt responsive, absorbing the impact from rocks and roots without feeling overly soft or losing the connection to the ground beneath my feet. The traction from the Vibram outsole is a key benefit. After some recent rain, I took them on a local trail that has a mix of wet rock, mud, and slick roots. The grip provided a surefooted experience, allowing me to move with more confidence on downhill sections and slippery terrain. The shoe offers good stability on uneven surfaces, and my feet felt well supported throughout the run. They have become a reliable choice for my trail running sessions.

Premium quality shoes but they run small and narrow

Mizuno is new to me. I have always heard such wonderful things about the brand and the superior quality of their shoes but never actually tried a pair. I was excited to see how it compared to some of my other favorite brands! For me, a good shoe prevents foot pain, feels comfortable and breathable and looks stylish, too!I opted for the "Hint of Mint-citadel" color which is stylish, sporty and eye catching. The colors are somewhat muted and I appreciate that they aren't some garish neon color! For as durable as the shoes are, they are still pretty lightweight and don't add on a lot of extra bulk like other brands. The shoelaces are average in length and stay tied throughout the day. The flat style laces definitely stay tied better than the tube/round style laces! As far as sizing goes, I wear a size 9 shoe in nearly every brand so that is what I ordered. I will say, I didn't find them comfortable at ALL when I first put them on. They felt extremely tight and I just didn't feel like my foot or toes had enough room. I decided to wear them anyway in hopes that they would break in. Well, they did a little, but I still feel that the sizing runs extremely small and narrow. I can guarantee that if I were purchasing these in the store, I would have asked to try on a size 9.5 or possibly even a 10. I would strongly recommend sizing up if you are unsure about fit.The shoes are very supportive and the grippy tread prevents any slipping or sliding. Like other reviewers already mentioned, they do squeak when walking on certain floors. I get looks and giggles when I walk down the aisles in quiet stores sometimes, LOL.I have tried them for running on numerous occasions. They are VERY cushiony! Unfortunately, since they are too snug for me, I don't think I will continue wearing them unless I purchase a larger size. While they ARE supportive, they are just too pinchy and tight. My feet get swollen after wearing them due to the fit.Surprisingly, the shoes are very breathable and cool to wear. The temperature is getting hot and I haven't had any issues with major feet sweat. (thank goodness!)I would have given the shoes a hands down 5 stars if it wasn't for the fit! Again, I would strongly recommend sizing up (at least a half size) if you are between sizes or unfamiliar with the brand.

Very supportive running shoe, great arch support and cushioning

These may need a bit of breaking in first, tad stiff when first worn, but once broken in they perform great for their intended use. Ordered these for my wife for walking / jogging, she loves them. I used to own/manage a couple running shoe stores (Runner's Roost) and I am very familiar with the Mizuno brand as far as technical running shoes, these didn't disappoint.Their wave tech mixed with dual density polyurethane in the midsoles offers just the right amount of cushioning and support, would even work out for over-pronators. She has worn them for 2 weeks now for her daily walks/runs and so far she is very satisfied, not foot pain.

Too small, but seem like really good shoes

I got these for my daughter as she desperately needs new shoes. She almost always wears a 9.5, so I felt pretty confident in ordering these online. They are too small for her, so I should have ordered a 10 maybe? I wear a 6.5, so it isn't like I can use them instead, unfortunately. She thinks that these seemed like they would be comfortable in the right size. I like how sturdy they are, and how they seem to have decent ankle support. If you try to twist them, they are pretty solid. The color is fun, without being garish at all. I love the idea of having shoes that stand out a bit, so that when all the shoes come off, you aren't looking for another black or white pair and can actually find yours.

Decent shoes, but not comfy out of the box

These women's shoes are just okay. They look nice, are breathable, and feel fine while sitting — but once you're on your feet, the comfort level drops.I imagine they’re designed with the assumption that runners will add their own custom insoles. That’s important for the average buyer to know, because straight out of the box, they’re not comfortable at all for extended wear.If you get these, definitely plan to invest in quality insoles to make them wearable.
