Dance shoes! (Smooth soles on some styles)
Beautifully made shoes! Comfortable right out of the box, and forming nicely to my foot-shape after 3h of dance class.Soles of this particular style are smooth enough for dancing swing (lindy hop) without adding any suede adhesive. (Note: some styles from the same brand have a rubber sole ... check the sole-view image to confirm before you order your shoes).I wear a 39 in Danskos, 9.5 for most other types of shoes (except 40 in road cycling shoes). The Size 9 from Mona Flying fits me well with a thin sock (lightweight smartwool or trouser sock). My feet are 250mm long. [I measured my foot by tracing around it with a pencil while standing on paper, wearing socks. Then I drew tangents at the big toe and heel, and measured the length]. I consider my feet to be kind of wide (96mm), and although there was light pressure in the toe box for a few minutes, this disappeared as the leather “gave” to conform to my foot.I bought “Brown 2” from this link, and grey in a style with rubber sole and larger eyelet-like flower pattern perforations, to try both. If you are eager to wear your shoes without waiting a few days for the leather-tanning odors to diminish, you might be happiest with the natural brown. (The grey was either more recently-made, or adding the pigment process might make the odor stronger.) Brown 2 had almost no odor.My dance teacher agreed that they seem like well-crafted, strong and feminine shoes — she and my teammates would like to buy some also.Bottom-line: I love my first-ever pair of dancing shoes! I hope that the artisans are well-supported ... they are doing amazing work — thank you!

Plastic instead of leather
I paid for leather shoes. Everything about these looked right, but they were extremely light in weight and smelled strongly of plastic. They were painted incredibly well to fool you into thinking they were high-quality leather with stitching and cutout details. If looks were all that mattered, they'd be great. But I had hoped for leather shoes that would breathe and last for years. These were not what I needed. And $90+ is far too much to pay for foam that would develop holes in the soles and crack in no time.

Stylish Shoes
The only thing I disliked was that I thought I was buying a golf shoe. However, I love the style and color and I am glad I found the shoes after just browsing everywhere. I still wear them on the golf course because the soles are slightly rough on the bottom and I get enough traction on the course so that I don't slip when turning into my shots.

I don’t have a pair of blue casual dress shoes. I wanted something for an upcoming event and ordered these as this style on Mona Flying could arrive soon, and the toe area didn’t seem too pointed.These arrived today I ordered my normal 8. I have a narrow heel but need a wider toebox. I like oxfords that I can wear without socks. However, I knew first thing I would need a sock (heel slipped), then I added an insole for height (ankle bone hitting the top side with every step). I realized if I have to make this many adjustments they need to go back.For the price, I thought the finish on the sole was cheesy. It’s either red shoe polish or some stain and poorly applied.The perforated detail is nice, so I get why some reviewers love these shoes. They just didn’t work for me.Some reviewers have complained about smell. These have a shoe polish or stain odor. Not overwhelming, but if you have sensitivity to smell, these may not be for you.
