Best winter Riding boot made!

This is the second pair of these boots that I have bought. This pair was to small, I needed to go half a size up from my normal shoe size. I really love the Mountain Horse line. Unfortunately it's been awhile since I bought them, so I'm not sure if they run small now or my foot has changed, haha. I stand by the quality of the boot though. The last pair I owned lasted for five years, and that was riding three to four times a week during the Chicago winters, so six months. Not to mention, I would also wear them when I walked my dog. I could lounge around in these boots all day. They are the warmest most comfortable winter riding boot I have ever owned.

Not happy

I felt that these boots are over priced and extremely uncomfortable. They are made of some kind of hard rubber or plastic. I wore them once and my ankles got very sore- there's no "give" to them. Maybe I just don't have the patience to "break them in" as others have said. They are very difficult to get on and then zippered. They shipped on time but overall I was disappointed.

Best winter boots - UPDATE - 2nd UPDATE

These are my "go to" winter riding boots. Sturdy, waterproof, and with good thick soles to protect your feet from cold concrete floors. Probably will have to let your stirrups down a notch because of the soles. Great boots. UPDATE - It is now one year since I bought my new Mountain Horse boots and both of them are cracking at the ankles. I have changed my rating from five stars to one. I'm not sure these boots are repairable, and I'm now relying on waterproof Gorilla tape to cover the cracks as best I can before I shell out for another pair of boots. VERY disappointed2nd UPDATE - These boots DO crack, but I contacted customer service and they have offered to replace them, which is more than fair. Customer Service gets a 5. Remains to be seen if the new boots will hold up better. Hoping so.

These boots run very small.

Though these boots look great, they are not true to size. They are very tight, too rigid and leave hot spots on the top of my feet. I'm disappointed because they were not Prime, so I have to pay to have them returned. Which means it costs me $18 to try on a pair of boots.

Definitely warm

These have kept my daughter’s feet super warm during the coldest days while riding. The toe is a bit wider than traditional boots, so check your stirrup width.

Nice boots, stiff foot bed, size as expected

This was my second pair and with some of the reviews, I wondered how the sizing would be. I usually wear 9.5 & my last pair was ordered as size 10 so had room for double socks. This pair seems just a tad smaller but I can still wear a pair of thick wool socks. I ordered the wide because my calves are 15.5 inch and wanted room for pants tucked in and they are perfectly roomy as the sizing described. The zipper worked as expected. I cannot wear a narrow boot and these were perfect without seeming too wide for my stirrups. The ankles are not stiff and are roomy without being a negative for me. The only negative is they're stiff in the foot bed when I walk. I hope they'll get better as they break in.
