My husband bought these for me to work outside in because I kept destroying my tennis shoes. I tried on several different women's version of this boot and liked this men's one the best. I've had these for probably 2 years and use them quite a bit, extremely comfortable and not so heavy. The only thing I would think a woman might not like is its, of course, a little wider than what you'd find on the women's version.
These fit great, are very comfortable and I would highly recommend these for any type of field work or outdoor event where waterproof boots are needed. They tend to run pretty true to size as I normally wear a women's 7.5 to an 8 Wide, depending upon the shoe/boot, and these fit perfect at a size 8 with mid-weight socks.
My wife uses these boots at our horse barn. Her other pair of muck boots, and her other boots, have nearly smooth bottoms, probably so that they won't get clogged with muck. However, we live on a hillside, this is West Virginia after all, and it can be quite slippery when wet or frozen. Six weeks ago, she slipped, fell, and broke her ankle, and I have been saddled with horse care since then (only two more weeks to go).Anyway, we purchased these boots with deep tread in the hopes of avoiding a repeat of her misadventure.They are great. Sure, they get stuff in the cleats, but they provide the needed traction in snow on mud.
After two months of light use these boots leak along the side where a seam is coming apart. I’ve reached out to the seller and had no response, Muck Boot Company says I have to go through the third party seller for the defect. So basically I spent over $100 for boots that I now have to go replace after getting them in January 2023. Will not buy anymore boots or clothing items through Amazon after this, at least with a brick and mortar store I could get some defective product service.
I really like these boots. They are exceptionally warm! I usually wear a womens 8.5-9 so I ordered a mens 7 (which is what I usually order when I convert to mens). The chart said to order an 8 but I thought it would be too big for me. If ordering again I would probably size up and order a mens 8 so that I could have a little more room. They are not so uncomfortable that I would send them back though.
These are great boots! They get worn every day and are super comfortable! Cushy inside! Plenty of room for an arch support. Not as wide at the top as my last pair, so my jeans don't fit inside as well, but I still love them!
I wanted a waterproof boot that was comfortable, easy to put on/take off, reasonably attractive yet heavy-duty and durable. These Muck Chore boots deliver. Some thoughtful design details include:- a small ledge at the back of the heel to help aid taking the boot off- finger loops at the upper back to aid in pulling on the boot- extra points for attaching the loops to the interior of the boot so they don't stick out the backThese boots will also keep your feet warm in below-zero temps. Definitely happy with this purchase.
