Great Shorter Rubber Boots
I’ve been wearing Lacrosse Grange Uninsulated Boots for 25 years. They’re affordable, last me several years per pair and as a Southern deer hunter, they’ve done everything I ever wanted them to do. I’ve loved them and still do.But they are tall, and they will sweat me through from my toes to my knees on warm days. I love em but they can be a little too hot for early season hunting.I bought these shorter Muck boots in the hopes that they would be more comfortable on warmer days. The height is perfect, they have held up beautifully after a season of heavy use scouting and hunting. And while I don’t have several years in them yet, they appear to be every bit as durable, if not more than the Granges they replaced. You are giving up 8” of height so there are some trips to the swamp where the taller boots are still the better choice. But if you want a short, durable boot for more comfortable, everyday wear in the woods, I can’t recommend these enough.I’ve got no less than 60 days afield in these boots this season. They still look great, feel great, and give me all the confidence in the world that they will go the distance. If you want a good, short scent free rubber boot, you won’t be disappointed. They run true to size and have been a better fit for the applications where a shorter boot is a better option on those warm days that a Southern hunting season provides. If that sounds like what you are looking for, you won’t regret these boots. And they’ve kept my feet comfortable with good socks down into the mid to upper 30’s.
