I followed the advice to order a half size up from my normal shoe size and the fit was good. The sole of the boot was definitely more like a trail running shoe cushioning and they have a lot of grip. I will be wearing these more off-road than on pavement. The tread and grip are probably too much if you’re only going to do a lot of asphalt miles. They are lightweight and comfortable and overall they feel great.
0 grip, the bottom is literally just all foam and almost 0 rubber. the bottom will be in shreds after your first hike. DO NOT BUY
Great boots for activities in mud and wet conditions. As an environmental scientist I work outdoors very often in wet & muddy conditions as well as on rugged upland areas. Traditional hiking boots get very heavy when walking for a whole day and they tend to be built for stability, not comfort. These speed ruck boots however feel more like a running shoe inside and even though they feel very stable they are very lightweight. I have high arches so I use an insole with them and they fit/feel good. My new go-to work boot.Recommend ordering a half-size up for best fit.
First off I would say these rucking boots are quality and well-built. For me the fit and comfort were inferior. Wore 4 or 5 times and my feet were aching each time. Tight across the toe width. Not long distance rucks, typically 4-5 miles. I did notice they performed better on trails. Not designed for road rucks. Sent a message to them and never received a reply.
Nice shoes comfortable. Pricey for what they are but quality is there
