Autism friendly! The zipper has made life 10x easier for my autistic teenager!

Perfect for medium-build teenagers/young people. It has enough room inside the cuff and shaft of the boot for him to tuck his pant legs in when the snow is really high. He was measuring 5.5-6, but I ordered him a 7 to have room to grow (I literally have a brand new pair of 5s big kids from last year that he only used less than a month, and then growth spurted).I am quite pleased with the fit and height (Upstate NY snow can get high). However, they seem to fit maybe a half size smaller than the size on the label.My son, who's on the autism spectrum and VERY picky about textures and comfort in general, loves them. He says they are cozy warm, and very comfortable. The zipper is what sold him, lol. At 13, he feels babyish wearing Velcro, but gets VERY frustrated wearing lace up boots, and would constantly come home from school with them untied, and the laces dirty and wet.The design of these boots quite literally makes my life calmer and quieter. He can do them on his own, and not be rushing in the morning, or rushing to the bus after school with his laces getting soaked. And again, hes about to start high school later this year, so I'm thankful they don't make him feel like a baby like the Velcro ones.

He insulation was terrible, leaving my toes always cold. Even switching to the free boots at the snowmobiling place kept my feet so much warmer.And the tread had no grip. I slipped and fell so many times on spots my family walked right through in other shoes.
