Decent shoe, awkward heel design

TL,DR: Nice enough shoe, but they run big and you MUST get the right size.For infrequent formal or dressier use, I think these shoes can manage fine. Nice quality, decent price. HOWEVER! You absolutely need to get the right size.The heel design goes straight down the back of the shoe. Looks cool, can’t deny it. But if your foot isn’t long enough to line up to or slightly overhang the back of the shoe, you will have a hard time walking. Your weight ends up falling between the heel support and the front part that touches the ground. It feels like you are standing on a rope bridge.With that in mind, the shoe runs big.I wear size 9/9.5. I generally size up for dress shoes and get wide width when available, especially when they have pointy toes like these. I ordered a 10W and was swimming in them. My heel was maybe 1/4 inch away from the back of the shoe. The wide width meant my foot kept sliding further in, shifting my weight further off of the heel and into the sole area. Wobbly ankles all night. I found these harder to wear than 3+” heels.I would have exchanged but I needed them next day 🤷🏻‍♀️

Naturalizers never fail

My only recommendation is that even if your foot is average width, might want to order the wide version of this shoe because it is very pointed at the tip. My feet were hurting so bad the first time I wore them because they were too snug around the widest part of my foot. That was MY bad. I should have considered this. I'm hoping the more I wear them, the looser they will become and my feet won't be in agony. I still rate them 5 stars because the quality and it's not their fault I ordered the wrong width.
