I love New Balance products. All my shoes are converted to them and the kids plow through shoes like no one's business, so I wanted them to have something a little better quality as well. We ordered a ton of variations, fits, colors, etc. These one's by far fit my daughter the best, looked the sleekest, she was super happy with them. As time went on, the velcro seemed to just be too short. She's 3, so strength and dexterity aren't her strong suits...we basically needed to velcro these for her. It's only long enough to just catch such a small part of the velcro that if she does it, I don't trust it to stick.I love the shoe, just wish the velcro strap was a little longer. I'd recommend this style for your child but something you know will be easier for them to secure themselves if they're on the younger side.

Not the best…
These shoes are super cute. Love the color, and this style has worked well for us in the past. The color of this pair doesn’t work out well for a toddler. They turned gray pretty quickly and wouldn’t wash well. One of the Velcro sides would not stay attached when my daughter was wearing them. The fabric also frayed and got a hole within a couple weeks. Lasted us less than a month. Already in a different pair of shoes.

Ripped 2 months after wearing
Got these for my 5 year old. They were a great fit and were lightweight. But after only 2 months of use, he had tears at the front of both shoes. You could poke a finger in and feel his toes. So disappointing as theses weren't cheap shoes! I can't even return them anymore. Why buy nice brand shoes if they're not going to last?
