Most comfortable, longest lasting shoes.
I only buy New Balance athletic shoes, and only the ones with Rollbar construction. I’m a big guy and even after gastric surgery I weigh more than average (to put it nicely), on top of which I have fallen arches and ankles that are are kinda skewed to one side. Other brands of shoes that I’ve tried start out comfortable and solid, but soon start to break down. I always know when my shoes are past their sell-by date when I begin developing callouses on my big toes. The New Balance Rollbar does the best job of maintaining their integrity for me. New Balance shoes are also very comfortable and size correct (16M in my case). I like the fact that the uppers on this model are leather, with the exception of the tongue which is nylon. I like the looks, too. I find that they do squeak with my orthotics in place (GoodfeetStore brand), but a dryer sheet or under the orthotics eliminates any embarrassing noises. Best, most long-lasting shoes I’ve ever had.

Quality and fit, as is typical for New Balance
Great New Balance fit and comfort. I need the 4E width and New Balance has it. I have learned that there actually is a system to New Balance model numbers. The higher the better. At 600 they start to be good shoes. 800 and 900 series are really nice shoes. These fit the pattern. Plenty wide enough, good support and a very cushiony sole. As usual, I love my new New Balance shoes.

Good Stability and Large Sizes
There is usually not much of a selection when you wear size 16W shoes, but New Balance on Amazon is one of the few brands that carry them. My previous pair of cross trainers were the 600 NB series, but the podiatrist recommended the 857 for a little more side support. They are just as comfortable as my old ones and give me a little more stability for walking. Good sneaker choice for an everyday wear shoe.

Getting the bad out of the way first, as it's minimal.. I don't like the tongue, it's thin and flimsy, and not wide enough, so, you'll be holding it up out of the way each time, and pulling the wrinkles out, both upward and outward.Which leads me to bad number 2.. At just shy of a hundred bucks, I don't wanna see any thin, flimsy anything.That said they seem well made and durable overall, are comfortable, and will hopefully last as long as my previous one's, which were V2's I believe.
