I've been wearing New Balance shoes for many years. Whoever decided that a extra wide shoe (that usually also has a high arch) only requires short closure straps needs to be replaced. I will NOT be purchasing any more of these shoes.Last spring I bought two pair (white and black) and noticed that the straps were shorter and harder to fasten than previous. The two pair on my latest order seem shorter still and require over tightening the straps in order that they stay closed.
