Best shoes for my wide feet. I’ve tried lots of wide shoes and some are very comfortable but don’t have the best support and some aren’t very durable but these fit well, have excellent support and they don’t wear out quickly.
These were rated by a YouTube foot doctor at Top 5 outdoor pickleball shoes. I actually tried 4/5 top options and these were the best for me. They were comfortable from the first day. I got the black color so they look sweet and match all my outfits. My feet are wide but the regular size fit well. I went up 1/2 size bc I was concerned about my toes getting too squished as I ran around on the court. They were comfy for the very first game. I played for 4 hours and although my body was exhausted, my feet were great. I haven’t had any turned ankles or problems. These were a great buy!
I've been playing pickleball for many years and have tried many shoes - these are by far the best!
I bought these shoes because my Nike court shoes would slip on the court boundary lines in the gym we play at. The Newbalance shoes don’t slip at all and are fairly comfortable although the tongue does dig into my ankle as reported by others but I can live with it. I normally wear size 7 to 7 1/2 but Amazon suggested I buy 8 because others reported that the shoe runs small so I bought the size 8, they are a bit too big so you should stick with your normal size when ordering. I only rated at 4 stars because of the issue with the tongue digging into my ankle.

I love the 996, I've been playing in them since 2019, at least.Blew out the toe of the first pair, found another, and another after that ...THEN I found the 996 Fuel Cell here on Amazon at a good price, so I picked up a few pairs - 996v4 and 996v5... Sadly, the 996v4 and 996v5 are NOT the same.The 996v4 is the EXACT SAME shoe as the original 996, but the 996v5 is NOT.The toe cap of the v5 is 'squashed' flatter by the rubber overmolding on the toe, which is a different overmolding than the v4... It pressed on my big toe, that's no good. Had to return them.NewBalance has not maintained the high quality they did pre Covid,. And that was not as good as when they were all "Made in USA" ... Still better than N-ke, R---bok, and Ad---as .... (S---chers just make laugh).Will keep looking, hopefully more v4 to be found in my size for a while longer ...
I play pickleball indoors and outdoors and these shoes are great for both environments. My shoe preference is New Balance but have other brands that I consider "OK". When I found these on line I was impressed with the appearance and thought I would give them a try. A review by another buyer suggested he wears a size 10 but ordered a 9 1/2 and was pleased with the fit, I did the same and ordered a 1/2 size smaller. I also need a wide shoe :(. When I received the shoes and tried them on they felt too tight but after lacing them up and walking around they felt perfect. Since then I have played on indoor and outdoor courts and can say they are the best court shoes I have ever owned. Each time I find a product that I like this much when I re-order it's not available or has been discontinued so I purchased additional pairs. Love these shoes.
