Fits like a glove. I love BOA technology!
Going to use these while working out at the gym. It truly is a minimalist shoe. BOA Technology is super cool. I’m a size 10 Men’s and they fit to size. However, they are narrow and I have wide flat feet. It’s ok because the BOA Technology helps with the fit. I’m ok with it. Love the colors too.

No, it's not too narrow.
People are saying this shoe is to narrow. It may be, but only for people with feet like bigfoot. I have normal width feet and it fit perfectly. For the price, these are built incredibly well.Better than innov8 and others. I'm really happy.

Nice looking shoe, but .. Not really a wide shoe :(
New Balance, why do you make finding shoes so hard ??? I ordered these in a wide fitting the same size as my 880’s. These arrive and are so much narrower.I have an 8.5 (US) 2E high volume foot. I ordered a 9 wide.I do like the GOA lacing system :)Initial fit with the GOA laces seemed Ok, but my foot hangs over the edge of the footbed too much to make this a usable option.20 minutes after putting them on, my foot is starting to go numb.3 stars because it is a great shoe, but the wide is not actually wide at all :(

Good Transition Barefoot Style Shoe But Do Have A Slight Arch
Update: I ended up returning these. The pain from the arch was too much for me. I ordered a wide version but they were still narrow compared to other normal width shoes I've purchased. Still think these shoes are nice but the Lem's Primal Zen are a much better barefoot transition shoe in my opinion (much wider toe box too but you have to order them on their website).Like others have mentioned you'll want to order a size larger than usual and unless you have really narrow feet I would also recommend ordering a wide version. I normally wear a size 13 in a normal sneaker style shoe and a size 14 wide fit nicely with a little room for my toes to move around. They definitely have more padding than I would expect from a typical barefoot shoe. For comparison, I can definitely feel a lot more of the ground in my Merrell Vapor. When I walk on an unpaved path I can feel the larger rocks but the small pebbles I barely noticed. If I'm walking on a sidewalk or paved roads these feel like more tradition shoes without as much padding and more flexibility, mainly in the front of the shoe. The shoes also feel very grippy. The only gripe I have with them is I feel like there is a slight arch that digs into my feet occasionally. I've come from wearing shoes with flat insoles and the arch is noticeable enough that it does cause some discomfort after wearing them all day or going for a walk, but so far it's not bothered me enough to make me want to stop wearing the shoes. I actually think they're one of the most comfortable and light-weight shoes I've ever owned and the lightness of them makes me want to walk faster than in normal sneakers. If you're used to wearing normal shoes, are used to a slight arch, and are looking for a lighter shoe that has more feeling in the soles but aren't looking for a "true" barefoot shoe or aren't ready for one then these are probably for you.

Runs narrow and small--no true wide width
This is a true minimalist shoe and seems well made. However, they run a full size smaller than past New Balance Minimus trainers. This might not be a deal-breaker if you could just order up a size and get something that fit properly, but the length-to-width proportions of these shoes is also off, such that there is no true wide width, regardless of what the size label on the shoe may say. If you get the right length, the wide width sizes are very narrow as compared to typical New Balance wide width trainers.I've included photos showing an old size 8W Minimus trainer compared to a new size 9W trainer. I had to get a full size larger to get the exact same length shoe as I'd had before, and you can see that these are the same length. However, the wide width is much narrower than the previous wide width version of these trainers. I always take an 8W in New Balance sneakers, but I can't get a true 8W with this version of the Minimus. If you don't need wide width, perhaps these shoes will work for you, but you may want to consider sizing up both in numeric size and width.

Runs small
Great shoe for what they are, a minimal, no frills shoe. Well built and handling everyday wear really well so far. They run somewhat small. I wear a 10 in every other shoe but could really use a 10.5 maybe even an 11. I do not have a wide foot but there’s no extra room in these.

Excellent cross training shoe.
Like most, I buy running shoes as my default shoe type for everything. But I soon realized that this type of shoe is not optimal for cross training. I recently took up boxing, which incorporates a lot of cross training and cardio workouts. I found that running shoes did not provide the lateral support I needed. The taller platforms were anything but stable. My ankles would buckle a lot, so much so that I almost twisted them on several occasions. I thus tried on several cross trainers - Nike and this model by NB. I settled on this NB shoe because they are offered in wide sizes whereas Nike did not (to this day, I do not understand shoe manufacturers who are in the business of performance footwear but don’t provide a range of sizes to cover the range of foot sizes and shapes, which is of utmost importance for shoe performance). This NB model is not as tall as running shoes which makes them very stable, and very light which helped with fast-paced foot action. I am very happy with this purchase.
