We ordered these because they were highly rated and reviewed as one of the best shoes for pitchers. Son is a pitcher, and drags his toe when he pitches. As you would imagine this is really hard on shoes, so it's super important to have the reinforced toe on his baseball shoes. It's still early in the season, but they are holding up so far, and best of all very comfortable. I'll try to update with a photo after we're deeper in the season!
It’s hard to find navy cleats and these were a perfect fit. Love New Balance
I have a wide foot and New Balance offers the best options for wide feet when it comes to cleats. Love them, they fir great, and they have good grip in the dirt and grass!
I purchased a size 11 W on the first pair of these that I bought. When I got them I couldn't even get my left foot into the shoe without my toes being smashed up into the front and the width was also much too small. I based my size on the fact that I have a few pairs of New Balance tennis shoes that are 11W and they fit perfectly.I ended up sending these back and purchased a pair in 12 W, which were better...but still not perfect. The left shoe was okay...but the right shoe was still tight. Thankfully, I have a boot stretcher that I was able to fit inside the right shoe and stretch it out enough to make it fairly comfortable. I am sure that, in time, the right shoe will be just the right size.As for the performance side of these shoes, they work great and I have much more confidence in my footing while playing softball, whether running bases or trying to get to that long fly ball in the outfield. And they look great, too!
I play church league softball, and when last season started, I could not find any cleats in my size as I have hobbit feet. New balance was able to come through with some cleats that were wide enough and had enough give to comfortably secure my tootsies while providing the stability I needed to safely sprint on the clay or in the outfield like a wild man!
I love the shoes, but they run small. I had to buy and return three pair until I found the right size, but now they are great. Played my first game on Monday and they performed very well for me. Now I just need to find a bat that performs as well!!
I have wide feet and bad bone spurs and arthritis in my feet. Wearing these for a few games each week makes it so my feet are not killing me after. Wide fit but tight fit but also not too tight to wear it hurts. I play softball and coach soccer in them (I know soccer cleats are different). Highly recommend.
