New Balance makes quality large, wide shoes that fit my size 13 EEE foot. They've been making them forever. I have tried other makers but their wide isn't wide enough for my feet. I got the Hook and Loop (Velcro) shoe so I'd never trip on an untied lace.
Verygoog stability sta ability and comfort
I am a senior and I usually don't review my purchases but I am making an exception on these shoes. I do lots of walking and I was looking for sturdy, good looking and quality sneakers/shoes and these walking shoes fit the bill. They are expensive but they are worth it with leather uppers, wide sizes, no shoelaces to tie, and very comfortable. They are heavy because of the leather uppers, not plastic or mesh material, but the protection to your feet is worth it. I like them a lot!
This is my fourth pair of shoes from New Balance. I don't like shoelaces. The top of my left foot is unusually raised, but I have flat feet. My ankles are enlarged due to accidents. To make matters worse, the bone in my left big toe is painful from a thick callus. I compensate for these problems by carefully adjusting the tension on the straps.My only big complaint is that the tongue rotates over to the side as I wear my shoes. I have since bought a leather sewing kit to anchor the tongue near the top on one side to remedy the situation. My second complaint is the straps should have more Velcro attach surface, possibly on the outside leather near the top. My shoe size is US 11,double wide. An 11.5 Double wide fits well.
As expected with New Balance, very high quality, and they "just fit". I have very wide feet, and New Balance always seems to have the fit that works for me. Highly recommend!
I’ve been buying this New Balance for several years because 1) I do a lot of walking, 2) I have recurring plantar faciitis, and 3) my ortho doctor recommended this shoe.I realize that there are probably other walking shoes that may be better, but this particular shoe works for me. The shoe is more comfortable than the previous New Balance walking shoe I use to wear. It’s also more expensive than the previous pair I used to wear, but it is firmer and provides better arch support.Also, since I have arthritis in my fingers which makes it difficult to tie shoes laces, so I buy this particular version.Unfortunately, as with most other walking or running shoes, I need to replace my shoes about every 90 days, sometimes more than 90 days, depending on how much walking I do. (So, I bought two pairs)The other unfortunate issue with this particular shoe is that it never goes on sale at any New Balance store.Lastly, this is the first time that I purchased a New Balance shoe through Amazon. My most recent online order of this shoe from New Balance resulted in receiving the wrong shoe, wrong style, wrong color, but right size🙄Needless to say, I’ll probably buy another pair of this shoe through Amazon until New Balance opens a store close to where I live
