NB Continues to Give Big Bang for Buck
April 9, 2024Two days ago, I ordered a pair for New Balance Men's Fresh Foam Garoe Mid V1 Trail Running Shoe. The low price for this quality shoe made me be a bit skeptical. They arrived today intact and on schedule. Props to seller for providing an accurate picture of shoe and a competitive price. You can find inexpensive high top basketball shoes for about $25. These are not basketball shoes--they are trail running shoes. If you shop around, you'll be hard-press to find a light, well-made, terrain running shoe in this price range. The Garoe V1 fits the bill. They are light, high-top (support ankle better), and stylish. I ordered the grey ones. They are comfortable and appear well-made to last a couple of year. All my NB last for years. I buy NB most of the time as this company provides Xtra wide in many of the of their shoe sizes. I wear orthotics so I order 114E. One thing I like about NB is that their sizes run accurately from shoe model to shoe model, or so I find in my case. Also, I am 78yrs old and in good shape, but I often have a hard time bending over to put on shoes. Theses shoes have a loop in the back that you can put your finger through, thus making it easier to slide your shoe onto foot. I'm itichin' to order another pair as high-top trail running shoes are hard to find at this price point. Good job Amazon. Oh, no, I just tried to order another pair--sold out! Phooey! Excellent Ankle Support
I recently resprained my ankle and was looking for a light weight shoe with ankle protection. This gives me the support I need. My only observation is toe protect makes my toe room feel too narrow. They are very comfortable but just an observation I've never felt that toe room feels narrow. So the extra toe support the manufacturer adds in as toe protect could probably be improved.
