Nice shoe! Good for putting orthotics in them too!

The material is very strong and good for wearing with my orthotics for flat feet. I needed a shoe with good support and with these I got them. The size runs exactly what is expected, I bought a size 8.5 and my toes just barely reached the top of the shoe, leaving a snug feel on my feet but extra room to fit my orthotics in. Overall, these shoes are really comfy but they do have a little weight to them. I originally bought the black ones and liked them so much that I bought a white pair. I wasn't disappointed! When looking for shoes, I try to look for deals but don't let this price convince you not to get these. These shoes are definitely worth it!

Comfortable and Supportive

I LOVE these shoes! They are perfect! I wear a size 6 1/2, I ordered a 6 1/2 and the shoes fit perfect! It really cushion the heel strike. The arch support enough for me to feel the support but not so much that I feel like I'm walking on lumps under my feet. I have hight arches. The instep of the shoe doesn't hurt my feet. The toe box is great for me. I have wide feet. It's room enough to wiggle your toes. I feel the shoe wrap around my toes and it feels just a little snug, but this is the first day I am wearing my new shoes. As with all my other shoes, there will be a little give after a few wears and the shoes will not be too roomy.

COMFORT in capital letters

These shoes are terrific! I found them first in an online article about the best shoes for orthotic inserts and I am thrilled to report that they are wide enough and tall enough in the toe box for my custom orthotics. It has been an ongoing struggle to find shoes for my wide feet that simultaneously accommodate my orthotics. My feet measure women's size 9.5 D, and I ordered exactly that in this shoe, size 9.5 C/D. They are so comfortable and are already relieving the limp-causing heel pain that was developing from me wearing old shoes that had lost their buoyancy and were also not giving me enough side-to-side support. I am 62, love to travel and hike, and am past caring what anybody else thinks about what I wear, so I even wore these sneakers to church yesterday with my ankle-length skirt. Hope that image makes you smile. Already no more limping after just two days of wearing these shoes full time. As a side note, I put cornstarch inside the shoes and that has stopped the squeaking caused by my orthotics rubbing in the heel area.

Nice, but EE not so much.

These are great shoes but a bit of a warning that while the length is correct, the width runs small. I am usually a wide, but sometimes get EE, as I did here. These shoes were tight on the outside of my foot - a bit narrow. This is not a toe box issue - toe box was perfectly wide - but instead rye middle of the foot. As I wore them, I stretched them out though, and by the 4th day, was better. Other than that, shoes are comfortable and provide decent support. And yes, the colors and design are cute!

Good toe box but some faults

These are the best New Balance women's extra wide shoes that I've found in a couple of years re: they have a wide toe box and relatively narrow heel (L-last, I think), but they have faults. I usually wear 8.5-9ww, but had to go up to 9.5ww in these. For some reason, the laces on the size 9ww are freakishly small (can't tie a full bow), but the laces on the 9.5ww are fine. (I'm stuck with the expensive 9ww due to short return window.) My gait felt a little awkward/clunky in these until I replaced the insoles with Dr. S. low back pain relief insoles (I cut down men's insoles to fit the women's x-wide). I wish the shoes didn't have bright white mesh at the top because it shows dirt in no time, and there's no way to clean it like the rest of the shoe. Anyway, my wide toes are pretty happy.

Love This Style

I love these shoes. I have suffered from plantar fasciitis and have a slightly larger left foot. I know everyone has one side a bit larger but mine seems almost a 1/2 size. I have difficulty often getting the left foot to fit and the right not too big. I had some leather New Balance walking shoes that I finally wore out. They fit me perfectly and had great support. I found these when I went to replace them and as they are a similar style tried them out. They are perfect. I don't run but these are great for walking or general wear when you want a sneaker type shoe. They breath also and that makes them easier in the heat than leather shoes. Everyone has to find a good fit for themselves but for me these offer stability and a solid fit for both feet.
