Great tennis shoes

High collars are painful initially, got a few blisters during first 2-3 sessions. But they are great after broken in. Best so far for wide feet. Lightweight, comfortable, roomy toe box, great for lateral movement and fast direction changes. Decent for ankle stability.

Need to wear heavier sock for ankle bone rub

I have never had a pair of court shoes before, but since I have begun playing pickle ball, I thought I should have a pair. I am a NB fan, so thought to try these first. Sometimes in NB I take a 9.5, but normally I am a size 9, so I ordered a size 9 and they fit perfectly with plenty of toe box room. I have a narrow foot and heel, so although the heel counter could feel snugger, with a heavier sock it is fine. I must admit that there was some ankle bone rubbing as these shoes are a higher profile, but with a heavier sock I didn't notice it all. Overall, I am tickled with these shoes, and the quality is excellent. The tongue is also nice and thin but does the trick nicely while staying in place.

Fit is was small.

Fit good because I ordered 1/2 size larger than I normally wear. The fit is good but rides a little higher on ankle. Love the color!

I do not think this shoe was made at the newbalance factory

This is not a newbalance shoe, no label on the shoe, no logo inside the shoe, the box has no Newbalance label, no size tag in the shoe, on size or shoe stock number any where. they do not fit like all my other newbalance shoes. the ankel came up above my ankel bones. The shoe looked like a mens size. they felt like I was walking in a stiff box. I play tennis every day in newbalance shoes. this was the worst tennis shoe I ever tried on.

Way too tight in the forefoot

I had never owned a pair of New Balance before, but I hear that they are well made and the best for people with issues such as flat feet. And I needed a pair of court shoes. And the reviews for these were good. However, when they arrived and I tried them on, they were way too tight or narrow at the widest part of my foot. I don't have wide feet, and I have no problem with standard women's sizing in any other shoe brands. The length was fine. I think if you have very narrow feet, these might work for you. But for me, they would have been way too uncomfortable, so I have to return them.

Feels stiff and tight in the toebox, and also in the heel, in my normal size

My previous New Balance court shoes were a 6.5 and fit fine, but this 6.5 feels short. Toebox is snug. Shoe feels stiff around the toebox, when the shoe is flexed, so maybe this shoe needs a break in period. For some reason, it feels like my foot is pronating inward with this shoe on, and I didn't notice that on my other shoes. The fit around the ankle is also snug, and the high collar behind the heel might rub and cause a problem if the shoe is too short. Looks sturdy, but hesitant to take a chance and try to break them in. Maybe I need a half size larger or a wide width.
