I bought my first pair of NB shoes this year. They were running shoes that literally made me want to run when I put them on! They were so comfortable as well! After the great experience I had with them, I knew I had to wear NB for work. These shoes are absolutely AMAZING! I wore shoes for crews when I worked at McDonald's for over a year. I would come home with feet hurting so bad I couldn't walk! And they would turn numb! That definitely doesn't happen with these shoes! My feet feel amazing even after working for 14 hours on my feet! They are a bit bulky at the bottom but that's there for support and it does it's job. They are so comfortable and not heavy either. They are great quality. They have great soles. I can tell they won't be falling apart anytime soon. I purchased them in a wide size and they fit great. I seriously would not wear any other safety shoes but these. Buy these. You won't regret it. If you don't want your feet hurting at work, then these are a must. All NB shoes are incredible for the feet!

Love the fit and feel of these shoes. New Balance has been a go to for my athletic shoe, so I was very happy to find these simple, durable and comfy shoes for walking the streets and hitting the gym. The wide width has been a boon; though not huge, my size 11 feet are larger than the average and I never realized what a difference the wide width could make for comfort. I love the fact these shoes are leather rather than synthetic, and the construction is great. I enjoy the overall style of the shoe. However, after pairing them with my wardrobe I will say the shoe is less stylish than I had hoped. Regardless, they are a great pair of black athletic shoe and more attractive than most, in my opinion. They perfectly fit my needs.

I ALWAYS wear New 1Balance, but these are not the same......
I usually buy New Balance because of the good arch support and sturdiness for my work environment, but these don't fit the same as the other ones I have bought. Almost too snug, which I noticed right away, and after 8 hours of standing, my pinky toes hurt from the pressure of the shoe. I am about to go back to the ones these were supposed to replace, which are very comfortable, if a little worn.

Slip Resistant, flexible, breatheable, and Waterproof
These shoes are great. They protect my feet from slipping around on concrete and other slippery surfaces. They're also flexible and breatheable so my feet don't feel trapped. They have small wholes on the top and part of the shoe is also made of a thick mesh like cloth so enough air will flow inside. I also love that these shoes do a great job of protecting my feet in the rain. I hate it when it rains and I forgot my rain boots, so my shoes get wet and smell like mildew or have warped leather when they dry. Recently, I was again stuck outside in the rain without my rain boots, and I thought that my new shoes would probably get ruined, but they didn't. I was literally wading through huge puddles that were 6 inches deep, but no water made it inside the shoes and my socks stayed completely dry. Once the water on the outside dried, the leather was still shiny and new. The impact absorbtion is also great, and the fabric on the inside absorbs sweat really well. That's also helpful because if I step in something gross, I can just wipe it off with a damp cloth. They do have laces, but I think they could still work in a business casual setting, especially the black like I got. Keep in mind though that the shoes don't come with arch supports or removable inserts, so you'll need your own. Also, they're sized exactly. If you usually get larger walking shoes so your toes have more room, don't do that for this pair. Go with your exact size as defined by a foot measure. The width will also be exact. If you walk a lot like I do, I would advise you to buy these shoes because they will last a lot longer than a cheaper pair.

I normally wear a 10W. I ordered the 10 2E for a roomier shoe, and got what I expected. The shoe fits wonderfully, the non slip works great, and it offers great support for my long days on concrete floors. The leather is great quality, very easy to wipe down and keep clean. I recommend this shoe for anyone in the food service industry.

Sigh. I started a restaurant job 4 weeks ago and was realllllly looking forward to the arrival of my new non-slip 'professional' work shoes. I have had several pairs of New Balance 'cross trainers' in my lifetime and have always loved the comfort and fit. The pair I started the job with were 6 yr old 608's and were still very cushy and comfy, but I was sliding all over the floor in the back of the house. Don't get me wrong....these 626's are PERFECT for what they are advertised for....non slip, but the comfy soft insole that I was accustomed to with the New Balance brand is non existent. I waited for 10 work days to write this hoping they would get better as I 'broke' them in, but alas....they have gotten worse. They are hard as a rock inside and I am now looking for a replacement cushy insole to make them work. I'm very disappointed and would have been willing to pay more for a more suitable work shoe, as being in this business again...good shoes are SO important. I read the reviews and I saw far more good than bad, so if you are a server/cook please be advised. I have had no foot pain in the last 12 years since I had bunion surgeries so it's not like I had 'issues' to begin with.....just a normal active person who is now in pain again, thanks to these shoes. I find it ironic that New Balance sells here on Amazon, a 'better' replacement sport insole, but buying anything with the New Balance name now is going to be a hard choice for me and I will most likely go with a different brand, just because.
