BEST for wide, tired feet!
BEST nb shoes I've ever had - and I've paid well over $150/pair in the past. These hold up for almost any situation and keeps my feet from hurting after long walks. Because of the style and fit, my pregnant feet can swell and not have any additional pain or restriction. 10/10

Cushy Comfort
Just got these midcut trail runners and been walking around the house for awhile.Initially I hesitated to buy because I sometimes have issues with the mid-ankle height. They tend to bother my ankle bone... but not these New Balance. They are comfortable and do not rub or chafe the bone.My other issue was the chunky squared heel/sole. I thought it was going to be obtrusive. After putting them on and checking them out I think they are rather complimentary and do not stick out at all.The materials used in these hikers are very good. I sprayed water on the toe area and it beaded and ran right off, so they are waterproof as listed. Gore-tex rocks!! No one likes wet soggy feet while running and hiking around the country!!Arguably the best feature on this shoe is the locking lace hooks. The final top two lace hooks lock the lace in when you snap it in... great feature because you don't have to hold tension when tying the laces!!! My Merrell hiking boots do not have this feature and I am forever trying to hold them tension at the correct point while tying them. It's rather frustrating because it's hard to get them right... they either get tied too loose or too tight. Not so with these. Once you set the correct tension you simply lock the lace it and it gets held right there so you can tie the shoe with ease.I wear an 8.5 M... in every shoe I have ever bought, so I bought an 8.5 M and in length they fit perfect. My foot is by no means wide but wearing mid-weight socks these kinda hug my foot and the toe box feels a bit restrictive. I much prefer a wider toe box to prevent toe issues and foot fatigue. So my only real complaint is that this may be an issue on long walks, runs or hikes. Also due to the materials used making these, I rather doubt they will stretch any.Overall, I am glad I decided to give these NB a try... they are more comfortable than my Salomon Speedcross 4s which for me are far too stiff in the soles and tire my feet out.I will keep this pair...

Good Shoe/Bad Business
New Balance footwear is always well made and comfortable, however this time these shoes were listed as new and were not! The shoes I ordered arrived with obvious signs of wear (pet fur, odor, and tread wear indicative of outdoor use). I was shocked that these shoes would be sold as new at full price! Shame on Amazon/the seller for being deceptive! List the item as used/returned at a discount! Buyer beware!

Bad fit shoes
Comfortable but hard to hook on top. Need to tie up slowly otherwise you'll mess up the top hooks.

Great ankle support for Achilles rupture!
I ruptured my Achilles over a year ago. Went non-op route and it never fully grew together. But in no pain and love to walk my dog 2-3 miles everyday. Love my mid cut KEEN hikers, but needed more cushion since I’m mainly walking on asphalt. But also needed ankle support for my Achilles. Found this NB to be a great balance of cushion & ankle support. They are super light. I sometimes need a wide shoe, but ordered these in a 9 regular and did not find them too narrow as many other reviews have noted. Definitely would recommend this shoe if you’re looking for some extra ankle support. (My only wish was if the black shoe had a bit more color on it).
