Unbelievably Comfortable!
I bought these boots to pack for a trip to Alaska, assuming I'd wear them a few times here or there on hikes. After I wore them for one long day however, I just didn't want to take these off. They're incredibly comfortable and require essentially zero time to break in.I have a difficult foot to fit, and I ordered these in my usual size (8 wide.) They fit like a dream with midweight socks on. I do find that I prefer to wear a higher fitting sock to keep my ankle and lower leg protected, however. I did try to wear a low cut sock with these boots, and they rubbed my ankle a little bit. After that, I stuck to full coverage socks and had no issues.These feel more like a rugged heavy duty running shoe than a boot. They're springy and not at all heavy to wear. The traction is amazing on wet and dry surfaces. I ended up wearing these every day for the remainder of my trip, and even to the airport. I've walked miles in these and never had any pain or fatigue. Sooooo glad I ended up splurging for these boots. I highly recommend them.
