Great for minimalist fans
The only tennis shoe I wear are New Balance Minimus. This version was a cute new option compared to my dozen or so other pairs that look mostly the same. I stand for 10+ hours daily and never have foot or leg pain. My feet are strong. I’m 39 now and when I first started my career at 25 my feet aches every night. After switching to the barefoot method I have eliminated that issue. Highly recommend these shoes if you want to get stronger feet. I will say I think these are little less roomy than the other versions I have.

Good for weight training
I use these for my barbell routine. The flat soles help me feel like my feet are on the floor instead of on the shoes, if that makes sense. The soles are firm but flexible, you will feel what you're stepping on but they aren't squishy. In my opinion, they do run a bit shorter than other NB styles I have worn, so consider sizing up a half size.
