My 11 yr old grandson begged me for these shoes. I told him I'll get a half size larger than he wears to be sure they'd fit & just a little big would be even better since he's growing soooo fast. They arrived 2 days earlier than we expected & are just slightly big (as we wanted). If I ordered his actual size, they'd fit perfect (for a couple of months, maybe). They're just big enough to wear thick socks through winter & have a little room so they should still fit in the spring...if he doesn't wear them out first since he always has them on!Well made with quality material, looks great, & he claims they're the most comfortable shoes he's ever worn! I'd send a pic but he's back home playing & shootin' hoops in them. We're both satisfied & I would definately recommend these shoes (especially if you want to be some one's hero!)

My 8 year-old had these same shoes that we purchased directly from Nike (cost more from them) & these are the same ones as last year's show but updated. They do fit snug sort of like a sock but that's the way they're supposed to fit. They slip on with the use of the tongue and and the band at the back of the ankle.VERY COOL SHOES! I actually bought a pair in my size. Heehee!Your kiddos will love them! *FYI purchase some very low socks to go with these because the premise of these types of tennis shoes is to make it appear that you're not wearing socks. Runs a little small but highly recommend!!
I wish I had known that the nike kids shoes were so damn decent, I would have bought them so much sooner. My son is in the half stage right now, so the 9 is too big and the 8, well it isn't too small if he's just standing up but once he starts running, his toes scrunch up in the front.He has extremely fat feet, we've been rocking crocs for far too long because they just dont seem to make shoes that fit fat baby feet that are long. hes 19 months and wears an 8-8.5.He runs SO well in these, they are extremely flexible and even stopped him from tripping a few times because the natural runner stance helped him catch himself with his other foot. He would have fallen had he been wearing the crocs.

Nike made a terrible decision to discontinue this first generation Flex Runner. The following generations are not a good as this one. I am an adult with small feet, and I hate shoelaces. This shoe fits me like a glove and is really comfortable. I'm so glad that I found this one. My old shoes are worn out.
