These arrived in a generic box, not sure why, but they appear brand new and legit Nike. These were priced well for such high end racers and time will tell if they hold up like a full retail version. I like to train in Hoka, but these are amazing for races (both short and long distance). Fit is true to the normal running shoe that you usually wear. I'm an 11.5 in daily, regular shoes, and a 12 in all my runners... these are no different.
After a few months the rubber part (sole) came off on both sides
Extremely super light tough built and super comfortable in sprinting. Feels like I am cheating with the speed and smooth feel at my feet. USA built and designed running shoes are simply the best against those copy cats.
After running in my Vaporfly 3's for a couple weeks I decided to run a leisure 1/2 marathon one Sunday and paid for that for several months. Unknowingly the sole foam was allowing right my foot to tow in, putting pressure on the top of my foot by the laces and ultimately causing the tendons on the top of my foot to become inflamed. My foot swelled up like a marshmallow and I didnt run again for 3 months or the tendon would act up again. My BMI is on the high side due to CrossFit and weight lifting so Im thinking that on my push off foot it was too much weight for this type of sole. Amazon is amazing and has allowed me to return them so Im out nothing, however the trip to the hospital for an X-ray was not cheap. Go to a store and try them on before buying
OMGThe Nike VaporFly shoe is AMAZING.Save your pennies and BUY a pair !Initial impression ... they feel like you are wearing SPRINGS.Highly Recommended !!!
I was on the fence for a while, with price being the point of pull-back. I'd had bad experience with pronation in Nike Pegasus, and I wondered about the size of the heel on these Vaporflies. Eventually tried them and was really impressed. VERY light, as light as any shoe ever used, the new foam truly lives up to it's billing. It's like a spring. First major advancement I've felt in running shoes in 15-20 years and is on part with development of original Nikes in the 70s and 80s (and then ASICS and more). These are comfortable and stable enough to keep my pronation and plantar fascitis away. Like them enough that I'm back to wearing Nikes for runs after a number of years using ASICS or Mizuno. Lightness of these seems influenced by what OnCloud has done in recent years, but these are a little more stable and have a notably springier feel. I presume that's in the foam.
