Impressed with the quality straight out of the box. Be sure to measure your child’s feet with a measuring tape!!! Their size chart is accurate and includes the actual foot measurement. So glad I measured because I had to size up a half size from street shoes but the fit is perfect for what I expected (and boots tend to run small). My 7 year old said they’re super comfy. Still have to test the waterproof claim, but so far so good.
These are great hiking boots for kids. They provide adequate ankle support and yet aren’t too heavy to walk in. I highly recommend them.
I actually bought these hiking boots for myself, an adult woman. I wear an 8 in women’s sizes and bought a 7 in kid sizes. I wore them for 10 days when I went to Alaska. I did add a 3/4 length orthotic insert. I normally suffer from frequent foot pain. I didn’t have any issues at all when wearing these shoes. I hiked extensively and did a lot of walking/running. These supported my foot perfectly. I waded (or fell) in several streams and these kept my feet completely dry. It was also raining one day. The waterproofing held up well. They still look perfect.
