Warm, comfortable, pretty

Bought these for my 2 year old granddaughter. When she pulled them out of the box her eyes lit up and her smile said it all. She loved them so much she wore them all around my house and wouldn’t take them off once she got home. She even wanted to wear them to bed!! She has wore them every day since we received them and has had no complaints about cold feet. We live in Alaska and have had almost double the snowfall as an average December. No complaints about cold or wet feet. Construction seems like they will stand up perfectly for our tough little Alaskan. Good buy!

Not as durable as I'd hoped

I bought my toddler these Oakiwear boots at the same time that I bought my preschooler a pair of Bogs. I bought both pairs a little large so that they could (hopefully) get two winters out of them. They've both worn the boots hard over the last year, in snow/mud/rain/just playing outside (they like how easy the boots are to slip on). My preschooler even scooters in his Bogs, using them to help him stop. After a year the entire tread/sole of his boots is still intact. However the Oakiwear boots worn by my toddler, who wasn't quite as hard on them, aren't faring as well. Like some of the other reviews, after about six months he wore through the back of the heels. We don't live in a terribly wet climate so I'm not sure how it's affected the ability of the boots to keep out water, I guess we'll find out this winter. I'm trying to patch the bottoms of the boots with some shoe goo so that he can get more wear out of them. Apart from the heels everything else on the boots still looks awesome. I wish that they'd just make the rubber on bottom of the boots a little thicker.If you are going to be paying full price ($80+) for a pair of Bogs, vs $50 for these, and you are only hoping for one kid to wear them one winter then you'll probably be fine. But if you're like me, hoping for more than one season, and the ability to hand the boots down to younger siblings, try to watch for a deal and just splurge for the Bogs.

Best kid boots out there!

Bought these boots for my nephew. He has had them a couple of months now, and we can’t get them off him. I hosed them off the other day, and they cleaned up really easily and look brand new again. He is hard on shoes, and these boots are holding up like a champ. They are very well made, of good quality materials. They keep his feet warm and he says they are very comfortable. The hand holds in the top are perfect for allowing him to get them on by himself. I would buy them again in a heartbeat!
