Not what they used to be
These are not what they used to be. I have been wearing my few pairs of Oakley boots for years. But these newer ones are not comfortable, and have no support. Sorry Oakley, these have gone down hill.

The Oakley Field Assault Boot is designed with durability and performance in mind, aiming to provide you with the protection and comfort needed for your outdoor activities. Featuring a robust stitched-down Vibram outsole, this boot ensures excellent traction and stability on various terrains while keeping your feet secure from harsh conditions.
The upper part of the boot is made from an 8-inch Cordura suede fabric, which is not only lightweight but also abrasion-resistant, allowing your feet to breathe effectively during long wear. Additionally, the combination of an EVA insole and polyurethane midsole offers a customized fit, enhancing comfort through shock absorption and stability during active use.
One standout feature is the Lace-Lock system, which incorporates braided nylon laces that are engineered for durability. This system provides a quick-on-off option that allows you to adjust the fit easily, ensuring a locked-in feel for all-day performance.

I liked the boot it is comfortable but not water proof, was the only thing .
These are well constructed boots intended for light duty. However order a half size lower than you normally do. I wear 11.5 in about all boots but these run big. I like the appearance, construction and material of these boots. I can not evaluate their long term quality for constant use but a lot of people I serve with tend to find them appropriate for garrison life. Having worn about a dozen different brands of boots in 19 years of service these would not hold up to the rigors of a combat environment. You will win style points though.Disclaimer-I did not purchase mine through Amazon and I wish I did. The company I purchased them through is a drop ship company and doesnt allow returns. Its 2021 right(?) and we live in an economy based on e-commerce where flexibility for returns especially on items like footwear should be standard....but I digress (cough cough GovX).
