Awesome comfort and fit.

I love the Bridger line of boots from Oboze! I have the 10", 8", 6", and two pairs of the low style. Everyday I walk transmission power line rights of way evaluating trees and vegetation + 12,000 steps daily ez. If the wire goes thru woods, I go thru woods. If it goes thru a swamp, I go thru a swamp etc... These boots are my go-to gear! I wish they made uninsulated versions of the 8"&10" cuz then I would wear no other boot. Foot support and comfort are perfect. Traction is never a issue and they are durable and keep feet dry as well. Highly recommend! The perfect boot!

Highly recommended!

Bought these boots for hiking in the southern Rockies. They are warm, comfortable, have good traction and as far as I can tell pretty water-proof. They do run small. I was able to try them on at a shoe store in Maine before I bought them and I had to get size 11 when I usually wear size nine. I like these boots as they were comfortable right out of the box and are light weight. After having them for a few months I would like to add a few more comments ,one being the laces never come undone and they appear to be waterproof. They only question that remains is durability, time will tell. After 4 years they developed an L shaped cut on the outside near the sole. I have no idea how it happened but wasn’t happy about it. I glued it shut and continue to use them. I am considering buying the mid size boots as I really like Oboz. I have a pair of of Oboz hiking shoes that I really like. They are very comfortable.

Very comfortable, great quality . . .

Great build quality and they fit me like a glove right out of the box. Shipped double boxed with no damage to the Oboz box inside. Sharp looking, classy boot. Can't comment on warmth yet as it s still 45 degrees here in the Northeast. The fit reminds me of a ski boot when I first put them on (but without the pain of most ski boots). Wore around the house then used them on my elliptical machine for an hour the first night to help break them into my feet. Wore them out for dinner last night. So far perfect fit with no hotspots. First night wore heavy socks, 2nd night wore medium weight socks. Other reviewers said they run narrow and to go a full size up. I'm a 9.5, so I went with a 1/2 size up to a 10 and they fit me very well. I'd rather have them snug and break them in, rather than live with a sloppy fit. I read reviews of many of the old line brands and there were way too many negative reviews for Merrell (which own several styles and I'm a big fan of their fit for my feet), Sorels, Cabelas, LL Bean and even the expensive $400 Schnee brand. All had too many bad reviews. Iv'e personally never heard of the Oboz brand, but my daughter had owned a pair was happy and my son used to work in a Track and Trail shoe store and he said they were a good brand. True they are made in Vietnam, but they are made to Oboz's specs. And even some of the few brands left that are still made in the USA were also the ones with negative reviews, rubber separating from the sides. along with poor customer service for other brands made me nervous so I figured for my $200 I'd give these a shot. Many of the old line brand reviews said the models they bought did not keep their feet dry, so those were out. Warmth ratings go from 100 to 400 and these are a 400, so I'll update this review after the cold weather arrives here. Made with Thinsulate which is a plus for me. Black color shown looks like they are tinged green on the Amazon pic, so I was worried about that but they "are" black.

OBOZ Winter Hiking Boots

These boots have the highest level of insulation available, and are waterproof, so they will be completely appropriate to use for very cold winter hiking through ice and snow. I have been using a few models of OBOZ boots for years and I have found the footbed miraculously comfortable with no pressure rub anywhere. Ordering and delivery via Amazon were perfect and timely. Give a try!

Great…but couple minor things

Great shoes. Everything about it is nearly perfect or perfect except two things. The tongue seems kind of firm and can rub into your shin making it a bit uncomfortable. The solution is not tying the laces at the top hooks but one lower that way it has a bit of give and much more comfort. Also they run a bit small so I would go at least half a sized up from sneakers or full size to size and a half if wearing thicker socks. If you can try them on in a store first. Besides that they are great!

Excellent support for my ankles

I'm not sure if a 4 star review is appropriate. I just received my 3rd pair of Oboz 10" boots and I have liked the previous 2 better than other brands I have owned. I wear them while walking our dogs in the woods almost every day for a minimum of 1 mile each day. I have had the previous pair for more than 2 years which means I have walked more than 800 miles and they are still waterproof but the sole is coming apart.

Perfect insulated winter hiking boots

These boots are awesome getting 5 stars in every aspect. They’re a very comfortable giving incredible support, warmth to weight ratio, grip.( micro spikes on ice).I wear hiking boots of various types year round with heavy insulated winter boots for the bad conditions that occur over the winter. On a cold winter day, snow and ice covered ground these go on. Work out side take the dog for a hike then do a couple errands put on clean jeans and grab dinner out. They fit under the jeans. Worked outside on rural routes for UPS for 30+ years. I would have bought 3 pairs of these in case they were discontinued. I’m retired now so I only bought a second pair-just in case.
