Well done, Oboz; well done indeed.

They don't scream "Nike" "Adidas" or whatever mainstream brand is out there; but they scream quality, look great, and are very comfortable. You can immediately tell the quality; which is why people will frequently ask me what brand these are. Well done Oboz.Waterproof so far. Flexible enough, the sole is nice and rugged, and they are not very heavy; but also not the lightest because of the rugged sole. All in all - I'd buy another pair.

Really comfortable

Great shoe, runs a little big. Normally wear an 11, wear a 10.5 in this shoe.

Comfortable but not for cold weather

Love the comfort and the waterproofing, but when I typically wear shoes like this (minus summer hiking through streams, I guess), I'd like a little warmth. Great hiking shoes, well made, but no insulation. My feet get pretty cold pretty quick.

Too heavy, not flexible enough, toe box is too small, too hot!

The Oboz Katabatic Lt I sought out as a replacement GTX shoe to the Merrell Nova 3 GTX. I was not liking the lack of mobility in agility found in the Nova 4's and there moving away from GTX and Vibram for waterproofing and grip. I was hoping that the Oboz would be very comfortable with great traction and mobility. While the design looks amazing unfortunately I found the Katabatic LT to be very uncomfortable shows with low mobility. They do not flex very well from toe to heel. They also did not have enough space in the toe box. The roof of the shoe was pressing on the top of my toes. The shoe felt heavy. The material of the tongue felt hot.If they fixed the heat, lack of flexibility and the toe box area while making the shoe lighter, I would definitely look to acquire these shoes. As it stands I would rather suffer with the lack of mobility and inferior materials presented by the Nova 4 than deal with the Katabatic LT.

Not a good price quality comfort value

I wear men’s 11.5W shoes. I bought my size in this shoe to get a Goretex equipped shoe to replace my Ho. Kas. They don’t make a GTX in a wide anymore. The 11.5W was way too long and my feet moved up and down in the heel. I returned them for 11W. The fit seemed ok in the house and I kept the shoes. The first day I went for a multi mile walk my little toe hurt. Turns out it was because there was a fabric knot right in the spot where my little toe rested. I used a dremel tool to remove the knot. Then I wore them for a multi mile walk today. Boy do my feet hurt. Little cushioning. Not quite wide enough. These are very expensive shoes that I wasted money on. The fit is just not there. The quality of the sewing inside was bad. Live and learn. I would rather have wet feet in Ho. kas vs sore feet in Oboz. Need to find some 11.5W goretex shoes somewhere else. With cushioning.
