Quite possibly the best brand of shoe ever made
I discovered Oboz back in 2018/2019. First pair I ever owned was the Sawtooth II Low Hiking Shoe. This is my second pair of this shoe. And honestly, I'd say that I can probably get another 2 years if not longer out of the first pair before they start falling apart if they will ever fall apart. I own 4 pairs of Oboz altogether. Two, Sawtooth II Low Hiking Shoe, 1 pair of Firebrand II B-Dry Hiking Shoe, and one pair of Arete Low Hiking Shoe. The Sawtooth II Low Hiking: I like the arch support, the fact you can get it in the wide, they are lightweight, the durability of the shoe, the tread, the stitching, the shoestring, it is all well made high quality. They do need to get broken in. Once they do, they form to your foot and are super comfortable. I wear them for work. I got them first back in 2018/2019 because I was working on concrete all day. And they were recommended to me. Now I am on my feet all day on concrete, dirt, and gravel, and the support for my weak ankles is great. You might ask why I bought a second pair if my first pair can still last, well I had money and I have a shopping problem so that's what I bought. Today is the first day I have worn the new shoe and it inspired me to do a review.Oboz a great shoe. Check em out. The only con I can say is, that I wish they came in more colors for men.

Wonderful shoes
What a gift to my 70 years old feet, shoes are comfortable, arch supported, very light weight, good quality materials, well made shoes for the everest climber as well as the old timer trying to look like a trekker, worth every penny.

Oboz better than average quality and durability.
Shoes that last! Great fit, and love NOT having Gore-Tex which makes them much cooler and more breathable. Their foot bed is great, but on the very firm size. I always replace insoles with more supportive and cushion anyway.

Almost
This is a fantastic quality shoe (and company). I returned these, however, as I really need ankle support in hiking boots. I thought I'd give these a try as they had great reviews, but I felt really 'high' and unstable in them and felt my ankle could turn very easily on a trail with even moderate roots/rocks. I returned these and bought a higher end Oboz boot. I will say I did not appreciate the return process/policy on this. It shipped initially from Wisconsin (or somewhere near there) and the original ship date commit stated was within 3-5 days, but they changed it mid-ship and it took about 10 days. The return, I had to pay a fee (I think $15) that will be subtracted by vendor if all conditions are met when they receive the boot (and lengthy list of requirements, original packaging, 'new' condition etc). I also could not return them to my local Whole Foods, and had to re-package and print ship/affix and take to UPS drop point. All of the shipping related brought my score down 1 point, but the boot itself is super comfortable (I have fat feet needed extra wide) and excellent design - I'm just concerned about turning an ankle.

No break-in needed and very sturdy boots and shoes
I love Oboz hiking boots and shoes! The first pair I bought felt like slippers they fit so well and every pair since is the same - No break-in time. I have problems with plantar fasciitis as well as morten neuroma and replace the insoles. They breathe really well. My feet don't sweat, even with the provided water proof. The soles have a good grip and hold up really well.

Comfortable right out of the box
Had never heard of Oboz before reading about them in an article evaluating men's hiking shoes. I had hiked in some of the more common brands, but generally reverted to wearing my running shoes in most situations because hiking shoes just seemed too bulky and with little or no cushion. These Oboz were a really pleasant surprise when I tried them on. Great arch support and just enough cushioning to feel good but not "squishy."Tried them on a 4-mile hike with some steep hills and slippery rocks. No problem. Felt so much more stable than my running shoes, and so much more comfortable than any of the hiking shoes I had worn before. No hints of blisters after my initial hike. No discomfort anywhere.A bonus with these shoes is the Oboz insole that comes standard. It's a lot like the ones I've bought for my running shoes that cost from $25 to $40. I was surprised to see such a good insole in moderately priced hiking shoes. And of course, if you prefer a different insole or custom orthotic, you can just pop it out and use your own.UPDATE: Did a 5-mile hike through hilly, rugged terrain in the Daniel Boone National Forest earlier this week. Mud. Slick rocks. Steep inclines. Everything. I never slipped or felt unstable...These Oboz are definitely the BEST HIKING SHOES I'VE EVER OWNED.

Impressive...
So I am not a guy who does social media or is inclined to write reviews. However, I am a fan of high-quality shoes - and these might be the best shoes I ever put on my feet. Fit perfect, perform exactly as advertised. So much so that I am considering buying another pair just like them or high tops. They're that good. I spent more money on a pair of Nike's to work out in, and these Oboz are so much better that I just wear them in place of the silly Nike's now. A very well-designed, sturdy, comfortable shoe.
