OBOZ is excellent for lower arch foot.

This boot is my 3rd OBOZ shoe. The wide is perhaps 1E and sizingis about USA normal. Very comfortable right out of the boxwith a Good quality foot bed . My back holds up better in OBOZthan most any other shoe. day 1 I did 6 hours yard work in these bootsand am pleased. A nice light hiking boot for a medium low arch. For a higher arch I think a super feet high arch is needed.I received these in 1 day from Amazon.

awkward in-between of boot and sneaker

sawtooth x midmy naked foot measures exactly 28.5-28.7cm long, took size 11.5, excellent fitvery comfy toeboxMild arch supportone shoe weighs 605g15.5-16cm tall shaft, measured from bottom of soleimpressive build quality, very thick leather. very durable, double layer toecap. feels like a boot. doesn't breathe well, these vents don't particularly do much, and this is the non-goretex version. soles are excellent, thick & stiff, good lateral support.I chose to return; I'd rather get the oboz bridger for a true waterproof boot (it weighs almost exactly the same as the sawtooth), or get a lighter sneaker. these are heavy shoes, durable and protective yes, but not really breathable. I kinda wish they used a thinner leather, and made the heel/shaft thinner. this would've been a perfect sneaker/hiker hybrid if it weren't so thick and heavy.

Almost perfect,,,

I have a 10 and a half wide foot. And a 10 and 1/2 wide fits absolutely perfect. Sizing is accurate. Great tread on the bottom and I love the way they look. However, as many have stated the top Hook is really weird. These Boots come with flat laces which is somewhat unusual in itself. Most hiking boots have round laces. I don't even think you could fit round laces in these boots with the top hook the way it is and even the flat laces you have to finagle to get in. Also I could see how it could cut these laces as some people have stated. Other than that I love them

comfotable, butt.....

leather is good, waterproofing is lacking. The biggest issue is the sole. the bottom of mine is smooth and I probably have less than 30 miles on them. Not a good boot for what you paid for. Ive noticed this across all their products. The quality is declining.

Okay, see in side. Impression/observation.

I bought these, put a fresh pair of socks after dinner and wore them for the rest of the evening; feet are largest at the end of the day. So this is really just an impression.I am replacing my shoe/boot rotation (swap every day to a different pair). It just happens to be time for all of them at once. I replaced 2 pair with Keen Voyageurs (like for like) during a Labor day sale. I also bought Powerstep Plus Met insoles (my standard purchase of boots and insoles; standard insoles in general for the Keen are just thin rubbery insoles). I have ball of foot issues. Anyhow, I have like for like comparisons of new Keen/Powerstep insoles and the Oboz. The combined prices are about the same. As I wanted to have a no hassle return, the Oboz were only worn in the house.Oboz: right boot is tighter, left boot is comfortable. I'm left handed, no idea is that's a cross dominance issue. FWIW. Length is good (11.5). Right boot was moderately uncomfortable. I adjusted the lace tightness around the mid/front of foot a couple of times, got better, but still tighter than the left. New shoes, mostly feet on a foot rest, hard to say what a day in the life might change this impression.Others have noted both the flat and smooth laces and the top hook is odd. Can't speak for real world with the hooks, but a trivial annoyance in my limited experience. The flat laces? I've used smooth laces in the past; heavily textured laces lock in place after tying much better/longer. Likely they don't slide around the shoe for an early fit compared to the flat, but that takes care of itself in the first few wearings. These laces didn't have much excess length; double knotting usually works best, but I don't think they are long enough to do that.Insole. They are a low arch support, 1/2 length hard, formed insole. Nice for some, better than the Keen for sure. I need the extra support of taller insoles. I did not try the new Powersteps I had to verify space. The left it may have fit, but I doubt the right would have. For me, having to spend an additional $60 for new insoles negated any added value (and maybe I should expect to spend this for ALL boots I buy). The soles are usually what fails for me. Poly urethane (PU) based soles/pads only last so long (look up anticipated life span of running shoes for examples), and assuming the uppers and the heel cup (back of shoe) cloth don't wear out first, that is my fail point, insoles be damned. Obviously there are other wear points, but for me those are the priority wear points.Warranty. Keen has a year long warranty. I have used it, it is good. Zero opinion on the Oboz. I found that with the Powerstep insoles I am using (versus others, including a lesser arch support Powerstep) I get so much LESS heel slip that the heel wear is no longer a concern (and mostly that was the warranty claims I had with the Keen; this may help someone that has these general wear issue for their shoes/boots).My overall thoughts: this was a one pair, ~6 hour in house only comparison. Your mileage will vary. I am returning them. Maybe try again another time, or buy in a store, where I can try different models on. Though NO waterproofing is a requirement for me, and these are one of the few where that is a feature. 3 stars as this was too short to give a long wear impression; maybe a week in the saddle would clear up much of my concerns. I will not be finding out.

Extremely comfortable

Extremely comfortable and light, without feeling flimsy. They breathe really well for a mid height boot.
