This is my my (4th? 5th?) pair of these shoes. My wide toe box and high arches LOVE these shoes. I tried on EVERY hiking shoe in the outfitter store years ago, and none of them fit until the salesperson remembered the Oboz in the backroom. These are my only walking shoes. I've backpacked with them, absolutely, but mostly they are my daily shoes. I buy the regular fit in a half size larger than I would buy in other shoes. For some reason, that works better for me than the wide width. They are not too long, and the cushioned insole is pure magic. All the other walking shoes I tried -- if they fit my width in the toes -- they slipped off at the heel, and I had to scrunch my toes to keep them on while I tried them out. Not good! These just fit like a glove.
Fit very well, 3 wear break in period, very hard, stable hiking high deserts. Will buy again.
Comfortable on day one. True sizeGreat brand.
These are my second pair of Oboz Sawtooth. I have a narrow foot and wear a 7.5 or 8, depending on the shoe. The 8 causes a bit of heel slip. The 7.5 are perfect and fit under my arch, providing support and comfort. I wear them around the house and yard daily. They have plenty of tread to protect my foot on rocky trails, and are just high enough to provide some ankle support without being big, bulky and heavy. I prefer them over Merell Mohab.
Love this hiking shoe! It's a stiff shoe and works great for previous issues with plantar fasciitis. No breaking it in either! Works great on your first walk/hike.
I really like these hiking shoes. I did get them a half size up and added cushioned insoles because of my neuropathy and they feel great, even hiking all day.
