Decided to purchase this third day of climbing. I’m new to the sport and these shoes does not disappoint. I’m currently climbing v5-v6 as it’s only been a month of climbing and these shoes have the fit, comfort and quality I love.
The product arrives earlier than expected which is amazing. Sizing is accurate to Ocun’s recommendations which is perfect. Still yet to test it out in both indoor and outdoor setting but overall, I’m definitely satisfied with this product. Hats off to Ocun Team! Cheers.
I am a mid-level climber 5.8-5.11 and these shoes are great for the price. They are very comfortable, and can fit a variety of feet easily. I have my Dragos for harder climbs, but most likely will just get a few pairs of these and have them resoled with a slightly stickier rubber for my harder climbing. They are just so comfortable I never want to wear my other shoes. The inside is even soft on your foot. great shoe and a bargain price.
I tested these shoes out at my gym and found that they could get me up 5.11 climbs but failed to keep their grips on 5.12 pinchers and overhangs. My previous set of Sportivas could do it, but to be fair they were in the $120- to $140 range. I got the Ocun's for about $96. With the Ocun Advancer QC I felt like I had to be extra precise with where I stood on my toes during 5.11 and 5.12 climbs, otherwise I would slip. I had to be careful with heel hooks as well, there's not that much cushion on the sides of the shoe's heel, so you really feel the pain if you bang your heel or hook it improperly.All in all, I'd say it's a good intermediate shoe. For someone a few months into the sport, past the beginner level, but less than a year's worth of experience.
