Another amazing OluKai product!
Just received the Dark Java leather sneakers and they are better than expected!Looks and style are perfect, exactly what I was looking for. The color is rich & dark brown. The leather is soft, supple & high quality. They also paid careful attention to detail with the tongue design.The fit is superb and like any OluKai shoe, they are extremely comfortable, with great arch support.The only negative comment I will say, is the tongue does rub the leather on the rest of the shoe and it does squeak/make noises when you walk.But overall, 10/10! Absolutely love the shoe and will likely buy in other colors.

Simple leather sneakers.
Looks good, clean style, quality leather, and nice shoe overall.Runs a bit narrow for an Olukai mens size, but probably great width for most.I think the shoe runs about a half size small.if you wear them without socks or if you break the leather in with some hefty socks , then the size is probably good. The leather is actually pretty good, but squeaks out of the box. I touched the squeaky spots with some snoseal that I had lying around, so probably any leather conditioner or bees wax would or polish would quiet the squeak or just wait until the leather gets a little dust or breaks in. The insole is totally removable and seems nice enough with some arch support. I don't think that I will wear these with the heel down very often, but as they age, I think that feature could be nice. Since the heel is able to fold down, the heel interior is soft but leather and you will have to hold the heel up when putting them on. I wouldn't call these super high quality or value for money shoes, but there is a lot of leather and for a pair of minimal leather sneakers they seem reasonably priced. The interior beyond the heel is like a regular tennis shoe, not leather, but people will probably like the material better than a full leather liner. It remains to be seen how long they last, but after only a few wearings, I think they are pretty good. The outsole is gum rubber that is glued to an Eva midsole. There is no stitching on the outsole, but it seems well glued. Overall I hope they last as long as the olukai sandals I have had over the years.

Great shoes! I have a wide foot, and while I normally would wear a 13 wide, sizing up to a 14 worked perfectly. The insert that comes with the shoe is nice, however, I did swap it out with a Sole cork insole with a met pad for extra comfort, since I have high arches.Leather shoes are perfect for also ensuring shoes don’t pickup an unpleasant smell, like typical running shoes or Vans might (way more comfortable than Vans by the way, not even in the same category).I wear these for work, and look great wearing as business casual. Also fantastic for walking around town.Something I especially appreciate is the heel counter. Many shoes really irritate my heel, but these have a U shape, so there isn’t rubbing or irritation.Durability has been great as well! Soles have hardly worn after some months of using daily!The only gripe I have is that they are a bit squeaky initially. They do squeak less overtime. My workaround way putting a drying sheet at the bottom of the shoe, under the insert.

Fits like a glove
I was weary of ordering these at first because of the reviews I read about the fit. But these fit perfectly! It was very true to size. I wonder if other reviewers wore the proper socks though. You shouldn't wear thick athletic socks with leather shoes. You have to wear dress type socks that are on the thinner side. If you do that not only is the fit perfect but it seems like it reduces the amount of squeak too! I found these to be extremely comfortable alternatives to my dress shoes for work since I work in a business casual environment. They are pretty grippy so you don't. need to worry about slipping. As far as value for money goes I would say these are great value for money! They fit well and the midsole isn't too stiff, it has a decent amount of give in them so you can be on your feet a lot and still be comfortable. I got the brown ones and they go great with dark jeans or khakis. I have had this for about over a month now with daily use and they are holding up well. Given the fit and comfort I would definitely buy from this brand again. This may become a permanent brand in my house.
