This mule sandal is very comfortable to wear. The hell area in the back has just a slight hug around my foot to help it stay in place as I walk. The silver leather-like material feels soft, yet it is very strong. There has been no flaking of the silver and I have worn them a lot. The bottom of the shoe provides good traction and I am stable when walking.
I’m giving this pair of shoes three stars. I honestly don’t know why I am going that high. I guess I am trying to give them the benefit of the doubt. I ordered these as a surprise for my wife. She was wearing out her favorite summer shoes, so I thought these might make a good replacement. Right out of the box, I knew the idea was in trouble. She kind of gave a look and made a comment, attempting to be nice and hopeful. But I knew she wasn’t liking what she saw. She isn’t picky and does not require high end, name brands or anything like that. Yet, even to me these looked cheap. They are a synthetic material with a leather look. Except they don’t look leather. The shape seemed good at the time that I ordered them. Now seeing them in person I thought they looked odd. The pointed toe just doesn’t seem to match the rest of the shoe. And that proved even more true when she put them on. It looked like there was the shoe and her foot. And then there was this thing added to the front of the shoe, like a cow catcher on the front of an old steam engine. My wife has a wide foot and generally a pair of shoes like these work well because they stretch just a bit if needed. Unfortunately (or fortunately) this pair was too narrow and was not going to work regardless. That gave her an easy out without her thinking she was hurting my feelings. And I didn’t have to say something like, “honey those aren’t very flattering after all.” We both had an out. I can’t speak to the comfort of walking in them because she wasn’t able to get that far along. Hopefully the experience for others is a different one. Perhaps, someone with a longer narrow foot will like these. And possibly in a different color (these were beige) they may look more like actual leather. I can’t return these so they are headed for donation. If you like them check your local donation center. They might be waiting for you. But really, I wouldn’t waste the time.
These black mules are such a chic little find… the pointed toe gives them that sleek, polished look, & the adjustable buckle makes it easy to get just the right fit. They slip on effortlessly but still feel secure on the foot. The material feels smooth & well made… classic black goes with everything, so they’re the kind of shoes you’ll actually wear again & again. Perfect balance of dressy & casual… total win.
The pointed toe on these strappy sandals is not a good design choice. When my foot is in the proper position, with my heel at the end of the shoe, there is a good 1-1.5 inches of sandal past the end of my toes. And since it is a strappy sandal it is really obvious and just looks strange. The pointed toe style is okay for solid shoes but just doesn't work for open sandals.I was also unable to keep my left big toe from sliding between the straps and popping out of the sandal. No matter how I turned my foot as soon as I wasn't paying attention my toe was popping out. They were mainly comfortable to wear, except my feet did tend to slide from side to side in the sandal.The sandals were properly sized, I wear a 9 and the 9 fit perfectly except for the toe issue. They also smelled fine as some of these shoes have a weird chemical smell. I really wanted these to work. When I took them out of the box they look cheap and flimsy. It's impossible to figure out how the loop and hook closure works but I finally did. They are leather fabrication and have some weight to them so they are well made but the inaccurate size makes them unwearable.I ordered my true size 8.5 and it's at least 1 to 1.5 inches too long. I can't tell you how they feel to walk in them bc they are huge. I don't recommend these sandals. I wish the seller would display a size chart and with accurate sizes.

I desperately wanted to love these shoes, their cute design and high-quality materials had me excited from the start. However, despite ordering my usual size, they disappointed me. Even after tightening the buckle strap snugly, the design made it surprisingly difficult to walk without them slipping off. The craftsmanship seems solid, but the poor fit overshadows the aesthetic appeal. I’m truly disappointed, as these had so much potential. They might work better for someone with a different foot shape, but I’d recommend sizing down or trying them on first.
