Awesome German quality
Whenever I see any legitimate German military boots I purchase them because the quality is superior than any other boots on the marketplace. I have a pair from the 1980s storage that are a throwback before more modern insulated boots became standard.. very well built and not too warm to wear in the spring.. I bought a pair of long storage winter boots from a surplus company.. the leather was perfect.. awesome boots.. until tentire sole just powdered and fell off.. storage was too dry for 20 years.. when I saw these jungle warm weather boots were available I snatched them up.. perfect sizeing.. the insoles have to be replaced.. it's going to take a bit or wearing in.. the leather is stiff and the quality is awesome.. I'm thinking they should last long enough to bury me in.

These boots are built like a tank.
These boots look indestructible. I think they will last a lifetime as long as you treat the leather. The leather is high quality. They are definitely high quality all the way around. They are stiff and the soul is thick and stiff too. It seems like it will take a little time to break in and soften up. The only down side is they are a little big. I wear 11.5 R , and bought an 11. I'm going to return them and buy a 10. Great boot, I highly recommend them. One other thing, they are heavier then us made jungle bootsJust a little update. I returned the size 11, didn't buy a size 10, I took a chance and bought a 9.5. At first I thought I messed up. They felt a little 2 tight. I wore them for a day with heavy boot socks, and now they fit perfect. Give them a chance to break in. I can wear them with thin socks and they fit good too. I don't get this whole size thing. I wear 11.5 R in US size but 9.5 in german size. German size 43 is 9.5 US.

Heavy for a jungle boot
Having worn jungle boots for most of my 8 years of service, these are not close. They are heavy, the tread is not flexible, the uppers are padded, which means heat in the climates the boot should be worn in.It is a well made boot. It will take time to break in, but again is of good quality. Though being so heavy, and the padding in the upper means this is better suited for northern climates, except if worn in the wet the drain holes will allow water in possibly making feet wet and cold should temps drop.

Very strong rugged boot you'll definitely have to break them in, but once you do its worth it I see these boots lasting me years

Quality & comfort. Tariff-free.
Shipping was very quick. No import duties for ordering within the US. The boots are true to the listed size and are extremely comfortable. I was surprised at how comfortable and lightweight they are. They come complete with laces and military surplus jungle boots insoles. They are brand new and unissued.NOTE on breaking them in: If you plan on using these as true outdoors jungle boots (i.e. not simply a fashion item), make sure to put them on and then soak them down with water and let them dry on your feet. This is the best way to break in your boots. Simply put them on, soak them down completely with a water hose, and go for a hike to let them drain and dry out.

Fit Issues
I've tried this boot in my exact size, massively oversized. Then I sized down and my toes hit the end of the boot. The quality seems good, stiff sole for what should be an otherwise agile boot. I just cannot win on the sizing and thus will never own a pair.
