Superior Comfort but Edges Fraying
I reached out to Orthofeet about the early deterioration of these shoes. I sent the email on a Friday evening. I received a reply within a couple of hours, even though their hours of operations were over for the week. By 8:30 central time Monday, I had a letter of apology and request to send my Amazon purchase details and pictures of the damage. By noon on Monday, I had a note informing me a new pair was on the way due to Orthofeet’s 6-month warranty on materials & workmanship. Phenomenal customer service! Increasing my rating to 5 stars!Original Review:I recieved these shoes less than 6 weeks ago.First problem: I ordered a similar pair of this brand at the same time. The tracking information stated they were shipped together, but only his arrived on the day scheduled. I called Orthofeet directly (after Amazon kept assuring me they were in the same box) to learn they were shipped separately, on different days and from different cities. Mine (these) arrived a few days later. Fine I guess. The REAL problem: I discovered today that the fabric on the strap on one shoe was not secured during manufacturing. The edges are already fraying and splitting. I’d be disappointed if that happened on a cheap shoe from Walmart. These shoes are not at that price point, but made just as cheaply! At this price point, I am furious! The good: I love these shoes! They are the most comfy shoes I’ve probably ever worn. Excellent arch support, perfect cushioning. No break-in period needed. But I’m not going to pay this kind of price for a shoe that only lasts 5 1/2 weeks!Obviously, the return deadline has passed. I feel robbed by Orthofeet.Cannot recommend.
