A High-Speed Contender with a Premium Price Point
I picked up the PACEMAKER Speed Carbon Plate Running Shoes specifically to see if they could hold their own against the established "super shoes" on the market. My initial impression of the breathable jacquard upper was excellent; the material is incredibly thin and airy, which contributes to the impressive 8.2 oz ultra-lightweight feel. The E-TPU energy return midsole has a resilient, springy quality that suggests it won't pack down after just a few dozen miles, and the overall construction feels polished and professional. In terms of road feel, the carbon plate technology provides a noticeable propulsive sensation that helps maintain a high cadence during tempo runs. The high-foam EVA cushioning offers significant impact protection without feeling mushy, effectively dampening the vibration of hard pavement. Whether I was using them for a fast-paced daily run or a long recovery walk, the rocker geometry encouraged a smooth transition from heel to toe-off. It’s a very capable performance trainer that delivers a "race-day" experience in a package durable enough for everyday mileage. However, the cost is a significant sticking point, especially when the market is becoming flooded with competitive carbon-plated options. While the performance is there, a minor critique is that the exposed foam sections on the outsole can show wear faster than expected if you’re primarily running on abrasive surfaces. It’s a common trade-off for high-speed performance gear, but given the premium price, it makes the value proposition feel a bit steep for a shoe that might only last 200 miles. Ultimately, it’s a high-performing tool for chasing a personal best, but the price tag means you’re paying a heavy premium for that extra edge.

Superior Sneakers.
These are without a doubt the lightest pair of shoes I think I've ever owned. When they say ultra lightweight, they aren't kidding. I've never owned a pair of shoes so light and comfortable.Definitely size up though as suggested. They do run on the small size as stated in their ad and it is recommended to size up and I agree. I ordered my regular size 8 and they are a bit too tight. I feel I could have gone up minimum half size to have them fit as all my other sneakers fit. I will definitely wear them as they are comfortable and light as a feather and walking in them proves to be a superior sneaker. I'm sure when they loosen up, they'll fit great.I just had surgery on my ankle so I won't be running for a while but I will be wearing them daily in the meantime. I also love the way they look and the quality seems excellent.

Okay
These shoes are okay, but they didn’t fully live up to my expectations for the price. The lightweight design is noticeable right away, and they’re comfortable enough for walking and short, easy runs. The breathable upper does a decent job keeping feet cool, but the overall build quality feels more average than premium. Some materials, especially in the upper, feel a bit stiff and not as refined as expected for this type of shoe. The carbon plate and energy return are present, but very subtle. I didn’t feel a strong propulsion effect, and during longer runs the cushioning started to feel flat rather than responsive. The foam is soft initially, but it doesn’t maintain that bounce over time. Fit is acceptable, though it took a break-in period before they felt comfortable.Considering the price, I expected better performance and a more polished feel. They’re not bad shoes, but they don’t stand out in terms of durability, responsiveness, or value. Overall, these are fine for casual runners or everyday walking, but at this price point, there are other options that offer better quality and performance.

Silly name and logo
These are decent walking shoes that mimic other well-known makers, with a curved base that encourages forward motion. The give good support and are comfortable. However I took away two stars for two reasons: 1 the logo - 2 the name.First, the logo is so huge on the shoe that someone can read it from a mile away (well, at least ten feet). It is ugly and most people won't admit it, but when they buy a no-name product, they don't want it advertised. They put a semi-cool looking horse logo and a small brand name on the back of the shoe that they should have used on the sides, instead of a huge ugly word that indicates that you have a heart problem.I didn't check where these are made, but my guess would be China, because they are usually the ones that don't understand American language. In our country, a 'pacemaker' is something that you have surgically installed to keep your heart beating. I'm in my sixties, and I don't want to wear these in public because I don't want people to think I have heart problems. The name has to go. A pacemaker has been a medical device for many years and you're not going to change it to a shoe very easily. Also, if you do order these, they are sized small. I am in between sizes (9 & 8and1/2) and with most shoes I get an 8 and 1/2 that fit well. I ordered that size and they are too tight. Order larger.
