Great Boots, no gimmick.
I bought these with some fear that they wouldn't be "true to size" or not really waterproof. I was also worried that they wouldn't look as cool as I thought they did in the picture. They're better in every way. Fits well, true leather boot that stretches to your foot after a couple of days, I swear they just get more and more comfortable. They're definitely waterproof, sat in a heavy rain and it was literally bouncing off of the boots, my feet never got wet. They look cooler on your feet, too, than they do in the picture. Very warm, also.I don't really like the "sneaker" laces, round boot-style would be better for something that you may have to undo a couple of eyelets to put on or remove. But jeez, that's like what? Two bucks? It's whatever. They feel great, fit great, look great, work great, and seem pretty well constructed. Better for a wet climate than the regular "Baggy" style, but yeah they do have thick treading on the sole so if you walk a lot in gravel be prepared for rock city. I don't think I would recommend them for heavy construction work, I think you'd feel a hammer dropping on your foot pretty good in these. But your toes would probably be okay, the tips are pretty tough rubber.Oh, and for anyone who wonders, I find that this boot fits about like a Converse hi-top, with only one very mild arch towards the middle of the foot.Essentially it's a tough suede, waterproof, combat boot with a Converse flavor. On sale for me.

Generally very good
Very good at what it offers. Lots of snow in NYC this winter and I have no problem walking around the deep snow in the streets.Only problem is that's its a bit bulky and none of my pants can go over it (because of its "extension") so it either folding them very high OR very skinny pants (which is what I do). Other than that they look good and comfortable

I can't believe how good these fit!!
These are the best pair of shoes I have ever owned, and am in my 30's. These boots are so stylish, my 10 year old fashionista daughter absolutely loves them on me, and she is very picky. They fit small, yes, which I LOVE because I have narrow feet and for the first time in my life I have a pair of shoes that actually touch more than just the bottom of my feet. I can't get over how great they feel. I just received my 2nd pair of these boots, one in black and now one in the Vapor/Indigo, with the plaid showing when you fold them down. I plan on wearing these boots for years to come.

Handsomely atypical
This is my first pair of 'baggy' palladiums, all others have been waterproof pampa variants. I'm a huge fan of the microsuede outer. They look pretty good folded down but jeeez, do the combat boot vibes go through the roof with them unfolded, which I love. One thing that I believe was undersold/not highlighted about this particular boot is the Cambrelle liner. In my experience with the previous pampa boots (one pair of which was insulated), even the non-insulated ones have a felt-like liner which tends to get really hot during the summertime. The extra padding on this typical liner is nice and all but it gets hot quick. This pair, however, has that Cambrelle liner (boots came with an accompanying cambrelle tag, which I quickly googled) and it turns out to be a high performance light liner which is perfect for this all black waterproof (poorly ventilated) boot.Speaking of waterproof, the tongue gussets go well above my ankle joint. I have somewhat wide feet; I tend to have moderate abrasion issues on the outside of my feet in most shoes, and premature wear/adhesive failure in those areas as well. These boots, however, don't give me any issues there at all. Nor have any of the prior Pampa boots that I've owned. The only challenge is not wearing the boots all day/every day.One small gripe that I've always had with Pampas: little to no arch support. It's never been a big issue in the past but I'm going on 31 and have premature body aging from the infantry so my body seems to be getting a little less resilient towards these kinds of small things. Will probably replace the insole soon. Palladium is the best imho especially if you're after FUNCTIONAL combat boots and don't mind somewhat of a chuck taylor vibe.Shame they don't have a service to replace just the sole and salvage the upper for their customers.

Amazing book
I found these boots at Macy's (i think), but they only had them in a 12. I tried them on there and found them comfortable, but a little tight. I ordered the 13 from Amazon and received them 3 days later. These boots are simply amazing. They were a little tight the first night that I wore them around the house, but spent 10 hours the next day on my feet walking around in them on a hike. I've only had them for a week, but I can already tell that I will order another pair if I ever wear them out. They are comfortable, stylish, cool, amazing, ect. Don't hesitate on this purchase, just buy them.
