Buy these for the soles narrow in the toes
Ok I was worried. I read reviews saying these shoes ran small because they are narrow. My feet are medium narrow. I don't have to buy special shoes but I do have narrowish feet. Also these were on sale so I got the mens 6 when I usually go for a 5.5 (I'm usually a women's 7.5).When I first put them on I thought they felt big but once I laced up and stood up they were perfect so I think the narrowing is in the toe box region. Of you have bunyons or wide toes you're going to want to size up I think.Anyway I walk to the train to go to work everyday and my toes have been achey and angry lately. First thing I noticed was I experienced no pain on my walk or during my very active job. The extra bumper on the toe is helpful as a little extra protection when climbing around at my job.I am very pleased to find a shoe that hugs my foot like a glove (if you're narrowish too you're gonna love these) with a sole that feels so high quality that I don't think I need to by gel insoles now. Plus they look smart at work in that navy blue.

Great, lightweight alternative to my Doc Martens
I usually don't leave reviews, but I am so impressed with my Palladium boots! I was looking for something a little lighter than my trusty Doc Martens, and these boots have been an excellent alternative. They are a tiny bit short in the toes (err for a size up if you're in between), but not terribly mis-sized. I have somewhat impaired mobility due to plantar fasciitis in my right foot, and was initially worried that these boots would aggravate that. They have been great though- broke in quickly, and comfortable for walks around campus and with my dog. I'm looking forward to getting another pair of Palladiums in the future!

NICE BOOT
I have another pair of ankle boots from Palladium. I decided to buy these because my friend has these and likes them. Decent quality. I think they will need to be broken in, since the canvas is really stiff. The shoe sole is comfortable out of the box. The build quality is decent, see picture. This green color is very military looking. My wife said they look like Army jungle boots. The shoe doesn't breath very much so it isn't really good as a winter or summer boot. I think this looks good with Jeans. If you want a fashionable boot this is good. Not a good hiking or winter boot. I have a Columbia boot that is great for winter and summer. This boot is good for city and hanging out. This is like a slightly more aggressive Chuck Taylor.

Fits true to size, time will tell on quality...
Edit: After owning these boots for two years and taking them everyone, hiking, climbing, Europe, I can say that these boots are great quality! The only thing after two years that’s remotely bad is the plastic toe cover is separating from the canvas, but it’s not something I can’t fix with Shoe Goo.I want to start off by saying that I read many reviews saying that these may be too small if you order your true size and I mistakenly ordered an 11 (I'm a 10.5) and they were definitely too big. Had to order myself another pair in my actual size and they fit great. So order your size with confidence!I bought these initially to go on a European hike in Spain to Santiago De Compostela. This road will test these shoes as its going to be a week of walking of about 150 miles or so through city terrain, old town terrain as well as dirt roads and such. I will be updating the review when I get back from that in about a month and a half. For now I am breaking these boots in and they seem comfortable and look cool too.Hopefully the reviews I've seen with issues on quality don't pertain to the Pampa Hi Originale Chukka, but time will tell!

Old and New
Believe it or not both of these pairs of Palladiums are the same style, size, and even color! The old ones I've worn almost every day for two years. I'm a truck driver, and love these boots because my feet don't get too hot while driving (for hours and hours) in them. The new ones do have a few changes from the old mainly they have MUCH more padding in the foot bed. These boots do take a while to break in, but once they are they are extremely comfortable. I do not recommend these however to anyone that walks a lot on gravel. The soles tend to hold small stones, and on larger gravel/sharp rocks they do not have enough padding in soles (at least the old ones didn't, these new ones are probably much better, but I have not worn them enough yet to say for sure). Also on smooth and wet surfaces (such as polished concrete, tile, etc.) these boots are almost like wearing ice skates. They are great for hot/warm and dry weather. Only complaints I have with new pair so far (and this is very, very minor) I don't care for the white tag on the tongue, and the shoe laces are extremely thin and feel weak.

Great boot!
I bought these boots for work and so far I’m really happy with them. Before these I had red Dr Martens, I walk a lot, along with crouching and walking around in back rooms which can be rough. The Dr Martens were a nylon which is the main reason I bought them, for they’re durability. I also thought the tread looked thick and tough, they weren’t. The Dr Martens lasted about 2 1/2 years but my biggest problem was the tread was like a plastic and slipped on everything. I said all that because so far these boots have shown to have a great rubber tread. They’re also much lighter though smaller then my DrM. I’ve only had them for a couple weeks so I’ll have to see how they hold up but am very happy thus far. I would say that I would like a tab on the heel to hold for slipping them on easier, but it isn’t any real negative.
