True to size tap shoes!
I am so impressed with these tap shoes! They have a classic Baroque Oxford style that looks really professional. The white finish is crisp and clean, making them stand out during a performance or recital. What I love most is that they don't sacrifice comfort for style. The triple cushion comfort is a huge plus for long practice sessions, and the non-slip flexible sole gives a lot of confidence when moving across the floor. The zinc alloy taps produce a great, clear sound that any young dancer will be proud of. They feel sturdy and well-made, definitely built to last through many hours of dance!

Get Ready! Put On Your "Fred Astaire, Savion Glover, or Vera Ellen" Moves!
All I can say is, that "Tap shoes," are OMG! sooo much fun!!! You just can't get enough of that "PatPat" or should I say "TapTap" action! You just wanna keep on going! Lol!Whether you plan to learn tap just for "fun or nostalgia," or engage in actual "tap dancing" competitions, these shoes are fantastic! The noise they make when you tap on the floor, is just so cool, you'll get your "rhythm or song" ON, in no time! They are the "funnest" (most fun) shoes in the world, you'll ever put on, seriously! It's no wonder that "tap dancing" was such a great form of recreation and entertainment back in the day, before the advent of "electronic or computerized" diversion... You don't just dance, you make melody, you "sing a song," you "rap a rap," you rhyme a rhythm, with your tapping feet! These tap shoes explode with "classic baroque, oxford--- style, charm, bright color and significant comfort!" They are extremely well made, with excellent materials inside and out: soft, comfy insoles with a good amount of padding, soft, padded "tongue" of the shoe, 8 shoelace holes to accommodate the included "medium width," rope style laces that are just the right size, honestly, not too long, and not too short! Don't wanna be tripp'n over your threads and fall! Lol!Furthermore, the outer or bottom rubber sole is nice and "sufficiently thick," non-slip or non-skid, with a quality, durable front tap at the "toe" of the shoe underneath, and rear tap at the "heel," respectively, with strong hardware to keep them tightly and securely fastened. Only minor downside, as many have already mentioned, is that the shoe or the cut of the shoe inside, definitely "runs small or narrow-ish," so do keep this in mind, especially if your child has a "high instep" like I do, it will either be too snug, or just not fit. I got these with the hopes of completing a "very cool, classic Peanuts character" costume, but they did not fit! Though these were designed for kids, I do have a small foot for a woman, at 6 to 6 1/2, which should have worked with a boy's size 4, according to my online research, but that's OK, I'll just pass them on to one of my grandchildren, they'll have lots of F-U-N, fun, for sure!!!Almost Perfect, But Too Narrow 4Stars****

Sized up and happy tapping!
This is a solid quality alternative to the major dance brands' highest end tap shoes which are twice the price. The shoe is comfortable for my child, is relatively easy on, easy off, and the laces are not flimsy. The style is contemporary to other laced class/performance tap shoes. I'd say the taps themselves are not far off from a classic Tele-Tone. At the very least, it's a great backup shoe for practicing, when you want to save your highest end hoofing shoes.Recommend!I write concise, honest reviews to help others make informed purchases. Since I rely on reviews, too, I appreciate how helpful they can be in my purchasing decisions. Hope my review has helped you.

Really nice quality tap shoes, but sizing runs small
There is so much to love about these tap shoes by PATPAT. They are so adorable with their classic Oxford style and seem to be really well made. The stitching and construction is smooth and well done. The taps are decent enough quality (especially given that these are for young kids). My biggest complaint is really that they just are too small. I ordered the size 11 Little Kid in hopes that they’ll fit my son when he starts tap classes in the summer. Since he’s in a size 9 right now, I thought I was giving plenty of room for him to grow into them, but when they arrived, they fit him snugly right now, so it’s unlikely they’ll still fit in a few months. The sizing is pretty disappointing, but otherwise, I absolutely love these!

Reliable tap shoes with a clean sound and solid build
These tap shoes look great and sound even better. He was excited to wear them and they’ve held up well through practice and play. The material feels tough and doesn’t scuff easily, and when it does pick up a mark, it’s easy to wipe clean. The taps are clear and the shoes feel solid, not flimsy. They’ve got a classic look that works for both rehearsal and performance, and the lace-up design helps keep them secure. That said, they do run narrow. We didn’t need to exchange sizes, but after a full class my son said his feet felt a little squished. He’s got wider feet, so next time I’d probably go up at least half a size to give him more room. The shoes aren’t painful, just not ideal for longer sessions if your kid needs a bit more width. One thing I appreciated is that the taps haven’t damaged the floors at home or at the studio. No deep marks or scratches, just the usual wear you’d expect from tap shoes. I dig this, as he really enjoy just making the tapping noise at home while he's doing his normal routine.
