Surprisingly Comfortable & Perfect for Rainy Game Days
These boots really impressed me, especially considering their affordability and simplicity. I bought them right before a trip to South Bend, Indiana, for the Notre Dame football game. Rain was in the forecast all weekend, and I didn’t own a single pair of waterproof shoes. I figured a pair of basic rain boots would get me through, and I came across these Petrass boots.I ordered my regular size 9, and they fit great with both thick and thin socks. I have wide feet, and they still had plenty of room, but not so much so that they felt sloppy. If you have narrow feet, you might consider going down half a size or a full size down since there's room in the boot. But for me, they were the perfect fit. I swapped the insoles for my own Dr. Scholl's insoles to make them even more comfortable, as I knew I'd be on my feet for hours.I tested them on a pontoon boat cruise first. They were comfortable, flexible at the calf, didn't dig into my legs or top of my foot, and felt sturdy. Then came game day. It rained pretty much the entire time, and if I wasn't walking around from the parking lot to the stadium or around the concourse, then I was standing in the stands for almost three hours, as it was raining and no one was sitting during the game. My feet stayed completely dry and warm the entire time, with no slipping, no rubbing, and no discomfort. I had great support in the arch and heels.When I packed them to fly home, I didn't even wipe them down, and they looked brand new. No mud, no scuffs. Now that the rainy season is coming to California, I'll be wearing them in the garden too, or out and about running errands if it rains. They're super easy to clean, reliable, and shockingly comfortable for the price. Again, I credit that to my switching out the insoles.If you need a simple, waterproof boot that actually does what it's supposed to, and doesn't hurt your feet, this is it. And it's pretty stylish too. So win-win. Highly recommend.

Very classy rain boots
Even though I’m returning, i certainly can’t fault these boots. They are so well made, lightweight and good looking that I am sad that they can’t work for me.I wear a 6 and that what I got. The left foot fit like an absolute dream, even with a semi thick sock. Unfortunately, my right foot has a large bunion and this made the boot too narrow in that spot.Love the matte finish too.

Based off of the reviews, I sized down. The boots fit well, but they’re a little snug. I’m usually a size 8 and ordered a 7. I wish they had the option of 7.5 because I would like a little more room in the boot. Otherwise, they’re great! Waterproof, look cute, and feel comfortable.

Boots work well but…. the smell was putrid
Design is great; they are comfortable and cute. The smell was absolutely HORRIBLE. I always thought other viewers were exaggerating about the smell. I sprayed with Lysol, wiped down with disinfectant wipes, and let them air out for a long time. Nothing killed the smell. I did an online search which recommended enclosing them in a bag with baking soda. I left them in a sealed bag overnight and well into the next day. The smell dissipated a little but it was still there. I repeated the process and there was still a faint smell. I kept them but if I had not been pressed for time and needed them I would have returned them. It smelled like they were made of horse manure and sprayed with skunk. So keep this in mind if you decide to purchase. It is one of the worst smells ever and I have been primarily nose blind due to COVID in 2020 just to give you an idea of the stench.
