NTRP ranked 3.5 tennis player who dabbles in pickleball. I like these shoes for the most part. The minimalist design and thin sole greatly aid with lateral stability. That's a personal preference, so keep that in mind if you're more into running shoe type insoles with a little extra padding. I'm a little bigger than your average player, so I've always preferred stability over cushioning. That comes with the cost of sore feet though, so keep this in mind. The "breathable" claim seemed a miss for me. The outer upper is some sort of rubber material. It flexes well enough, and is perforated in this sort of web-like pattern that you would think greatly aid in ventilation. However, I didn't find them to breath any better than a standard pair of old school leather or synthetic upper court shoes. In fact, my feet felt a little more stifled than normal, but nothing too uncomfortable.I will give this pair of shoes extra points for traction. The upper support cups around your ankle at that perfect height to encapsulate your foot, and once planted, everything just stops. This, combined with the almost zero drop height of the sole make for terrific traction. Early on in my testing, I wore this pair quite a bit trying to break them in before hitting the courts. One day, while cleaning my garage, I needed to move my work bench. It's heavy and large; 8' long made of 2X6's and 3/4" plywood, has a miter saw bolted on top with a three gallon air compressor, shop vac and several totes of smaller tools underneath. The whole thing weighs several hundred pounds. In order to slide it even a few inches across the garage floor, I pretty much have to get in a very low stance and shove on it one side at a time in several lineman style attacks. Well, since I was still breaking these shoes in, I had not laced them super tight like I do when on the court. I laced them casually as one would any normal pair of athletic shoes on any normal day. Well as soon as I put my shoulder into that 2x6 and heaved forward, I walked clean out of one of the shoes. The sole gripped the polished concrete of my dirty garage floor well enough that my sock popping out of the shoe was more of a weak point than the sole loosing traction! As far as durability, I can only speculate. I haven't had these long enough to say for sure how well they will hold up. In my experience, super grippy soles often come at the cost of quicker wear down time. Think of it like you would tires. Racing tires are soft and grippy. Interstate tires are tough and long lasting, but couldn't corner quite as well. I have no doubt the upper rubber spider material will last, but I hope that is not at the expense of comfort. I can't see this spiderweb of rubber breaking in like leather or poly-mesh synthetic material would. Everything is a trade off I guess. On the plus side, these shoes are inexpensive. You're not really gambling much with a sub $50 pair of lightweight, low heal-height athletic shoes. They're perfect for way more than pickleball. Just lace them up tight if you plan on putting any amount of torque into them, lol.
I’m particular about footwear and usually stick to well-known brands, but these pickleball shoes genuinely surprised me—in a good way. They look great, fit true to size, and are very comfortable right out of the box. With proper lacing, they offer solid support, and the sole is easily the standout feature. The traction is excellent on both indoor and outdoor courts, and I immediately felt more stable compared to wearing my usual running shoes. In fact, I’m pretty sure these even improved my game a bit! They’re lightweight, breathable, and competitively priced, offering impressive value. As for durability, time will tell, but so far they feel like they’ll hold up well. Overall, I couldn’t find a single reason to rate them lower—fantastic shoes at a great price!
The shoes look very nice. A few people even mistook them for a name brand, high dollar shoe. The comfort is okay, but not deserving of 5stars.the cushions on the feet are very thin and do not feel very good at the end of the day. The fit seems to be right on. The traction is as expected from a running show. Overall, they are a decent choice for a low budget shoe.
Sturdy athletic shoes with a grippy sole and added arch support. Ignore the “pickleball” label. Does anyone actually play that anymore? They are being used for parkour right now. The flexible, web-like design around the outside provides strong support for the foot. The tubular pattern on the bottom offers extensive surface contact and prevents sliding. The shallow tread makes me wonder if they might wear out quickly. These shoes look like the picture and seem sturdy. I'm not sure what makes this a 'pickleball' shoe. It seems like it would work well for many different sports. I've seen similar shoes marketed as 'tennis shoes' or 'cross-trainers'. Fit perfectly per the size, by the way.
First the pros - these look nice, feel high quality. Fit quite well, so true to size. These are also not too heavy, not the lightest, but work fine. Overall support is fine too.Con - These shoes do not breathe at all. I have many shoes and none of them make my socks wet or smell bad, but these do. Within an hour of using these, my socks become moist and start smelling bad. This is a big issue. I have to immediately get the socks into the laundry room to avoid stinking up the mud room. Maybe that's where big brands earn their higher price. Based off this alone, I will not buy this product again.
My husband was pleasantly surprised at how light, breathable and comfy these sneakers were, especially on the court all day. The rubber sole is non-slip, they held up very well with the constant movement and his feet didn't sweat. He said the cushion wasn't as thick as his basketball shoes, but that didn't take away from the comfort, style, support, or performance. He chose the white ones so he could wear them with his jeans or track suits when he's not on the court.
