These are not long lasting sturdy shoes but the heel height is comfortable, they are comfortable to wear and look decent enough for casual wear. The size was correct and they don't seem to be a risk for slipping.
These shoes had a very strong odor, right out of the box (almost smelled like kerosene). After a few days of sitting outside, my wife brought them back in, and they seem fine now.The velvet is close-cut in a dark green that catches the light. Many velvet or suede shoes have the covering just on the shoe body, some include it on the strap, but rarely does the covering also cover the heel -- but these heels ARE covered in the green velvet -- Nice! The foot-opening edge is covered with a grosgrain ribbon of slightly different color than the velvet material, and that ribbon is well sewn.There is very little padding in the shoe. There are only 3 holes on the strap for adjusting, so fortunately the tightest hole worked for my wife -- in the other two holes, the shoe was a bit floppy. The toe box is deep enough toward the ankle that the toe-creases don't' show at all (my wife hates it when the "between the toes" webbing area of her foot shows on closed-toe shoes!).Bottom line: The shoes are nice looking and comfortable enough, and true to size. She says they could use a bit more padding, but as-is, she could still wear them for a half-day event. She says go ahead and give them 5 stars. (If the odor had not dissipated, we would have rated them a lot less).

These are stunning. I got these in green velvet, and WOW. I love the design, the chunky heel, and all that. However... I have a medium width foot and within minutes, these absolutely destroy my feet in the toe area. And I'm someone who loves narrow, tapered toes! But here, the toe area is so uncomfortable. My poor toes feel so uncomfortably crammed into the front of the shoe. They do fit true to size, though... I just wish that they weren't so tight. Also, one of the shoes came with a defect in the velvet, right on the front of the shoe, and it's very noticeable. It looks as though a small patch of velvet is just rubbed off. These are stunning though, and if they fit your foot's anatomy and don't come blemished, then I'd 100% say these are an incredible value for your money. But as it stands, I don't recommend them.
Quality seems ok. Squared toe box good for wider feet and less constriction. Should last for many nights on the town.
I love these shoes, very comfortable and stylish. They are velvety and will go with anything. The heel is perfect sized to offer support
