Wore these on a ski trip to Colorado. They worked great! Comfortable, warm, and very good quality. I was pleasantly surprised.
Wore these for 10 hours delivering mail on a very rainy day.PROS:Great fit. Kept my feet nice and warm and dry! The two crossovers shoelace buckles reduced the pressure on my ankle. Didn't slip once all day, and I walked through puddles, grass and mud. Very comfortable, especially for wide feet.CONS:If there's a gap between your toes and the upper inside of the shoe, it tends to flex the rubber down into tour toe knuckle. After hours of use, the constant pinching/poking of the rubber caused a lot of toe pain, and my feet, at the toes was swollen from the pounding all day. Secondly, the I sole needs work. I'm sure it'd be great if replaced, but it's a pain. I wore them around the house for 20 minutes to make sure they'd be food for work, then used them the next day. The heel of the insole worked well enough, but, after almost 1.5 hours, I notice my heels were sinking into a notch of some sort, and both feet were affected. As these were the only footwear I had in the field, I had to keep going, but could feel the depression getting deeper. At the end of the day, I removed the boots to inspect them and the damage to my feet. Both feet had large rectangular blisters at the heels which matched the 1"×2" 2mm depression at the heel of the insole.Of using two layers of socks, the issues I had MIGHT not occur. However, you'd then be dealing with a very tight fit. If these boots hadn't pinched my toes all day, and if I replaced the insole with a thicker, gel type, insole, I would keep them. For the price, they're an excellent buy!
I bought these for a trip to Big Bear recently and I was reading the reviews, and one person mentioned the sizing was off and needed to go up in size…that’s exactly what I did. My bf is an 11 in shoes, so I ordered a size 12 and he did not complain once! He said they fit perfectly and also the comfort was good, alongside the ease of getting them on and being in them for quite some time! I recommend these for sure.
Decent. Feel kind of loose and flimsy when I walk. The right heel feels a bit more rubbery and not as well made as the left heel. You get what you pay for. Dont take these on any extreme hiking expeditions. They are warm, but dont seem reliable.
Purchased these boots work boots for my husband. Needed boots that would keep his feet warm and dry. He loves them and notes that they are very comfortable to walk & work in. Plus they keep his feet dry and warm. They are true to size.
My husband bought these for me because I liked the features and needed good waterproof boots as my steeltoes had to be retired due to an untimely machete accident. (I was a tad overzealous in hacking down tall grass)At first, these were okay. Waterproof and pretty warm with a fair grip. The insole had no support and the heels felt a little flimsy in the middle, but otherwise fine.I've only had these for a few months and have only worn them for a month and they're falling apart! I'm not even doing anything that rough on them, just walking around my neighborhood. The first thing to go were the loops on the back, which isn't too bad, it's not structural. Then, I noticed my heels hurting like I had been walking on sharp rocks. I looked down in the shoes and found that the insole had completely worn down so that my foot was directly on the sole. Uncomfortable, but I could fix that by putting in some inexpensive gel insoles. As I was showing this to my husband, I noticed that the uppers were detaching from the sole! I could stick my fingers through the gap completely. Which would account for why my feet would be cold while wearing them. Again, this happened after wearing them for a month.Overall, I'm very disappointed.
