Adorable Boots, Well-Made and Good Looking! Don't Exactly Match the Photo - Logo is Different
These boots are totally adorable,They are well-made and look like a tiny adult boot - really nice.The only thing: they don't precisely match the product photo.The pony/polo player logo is embossed on the leather - it isn't the little metal logo as shown.I know it's a minor difference, but the metal logo looks nicer. It almost made me wonder if they were counterfeit, but I don't think they are.I felt like I had to deduct one star for the discrepancy. Details are important.Also, I don't know why The Polo Ralph Lauren Store is selling this exact boot for $40-$45 in little boy size 1-3, but this similar size toddler boot is $70. That seems ridiculousIn all, though, they are totally CUTE! If you can size up a bit, you can get a much better deal.

What am I reviewing?Polo, by Ralph Laruen; Boy's Dover Boot.What I saw.I was smitten by the listing’s photos and the idea this was a super-premium brand name boot, so, I immediately selected these, primarily because of the raised 3D Polo Player and Pony emblem affixed on the side of the shoe, such clearly identified this as part of the Ralph Lauren line.What had I got?It’s “not” the exact same as what I saw in the listing. This had an embossed emblem, not that raised 3D Polo Player and Pony emblem, making this look like any old boot in its style. I was disappointed. I select name brand items, in part, that have their brand names clearly visible.ValueNot having that raised 3D Polo Player and Pony emblem visible greatly reduces the value of this item, which is premium priced at ($70) for a toddler boot.Fit & Finish?Sloppy, glue is visible on many parts of this boot and worse, there are stray and knotted threads on the exterior of both boots; bordering on sloppy, rather than an expert cobbler.Where was this made?Made in ChinaSizing?Ridiculously small, I do “not” think these run true to size; and am sorry I did not order a significantly larger size.Gender?Arguably both boys and girls.How received?In a fancy retail oriented branded cardboard box that looked impressive enough, until I opened the cardboard shoebox with branded tissue paper.Features & ConsiderationsThese appear to be sturdy and durable, plus they are heavy, at near six (6) ounces for “each” shoe.Aroma?Yes, it exists, a rubber and leather aroma, but mostly rubber.Exterior?Leather and rubber, narrow toe boxAdjustable?The exterior strap is Velcro based, there is some ability to adjust. Not easy to slip-on and/or to slip-off.Looks?These shoes are stylish, athletic looking; modern and fashionable. However, I was very much drawn to that brand emblem, which was missing from each boot.Stiff?Absolutely, stiff as a board. My little one will be out of these before they break-in.Construction?Their construction, from the toe cap, all the way back to the ridiculously small heel tab [that little tab of fabric we put our finger through to help pull-up on the shoes to get it on] is nice but far from perfect. There is a lot of padding at the ankle.UppersThe uppers are made of a durable leather.Outer sole/OutsoleRubber makes a difference.Weight?About six (6) ounces per shoe.Fit?Small and tight, I should have ordered a size up.How arrivedIn a nice sturdy and durable package.TongueThe tongue of the shoe, the part under the strings, is NOT a one-piece design. Such does not aide in getting the shoe on faster .StringsThey are there not just for looks. Heavy duty. They can be tied.Giftable?Yes, that shoebox is branded and looks great.SolesMultiple patterns.Rating?These are three (3) star, because in my opinion, they do “not” run true to size, so, these turned out to be smaller, tighter, and narrower. Further, that missing element, which was shown in the listing, but not on the actual boot, really contributed to lowering this.I hope my thoughts added a bit more useful information.

Cute durable boots
The boot is great for the winter season, well made, and super cute.It has enhancements at both toe and heel section, so I imagine it will last much longer than any of my other sneakers.It has shoe lace and velcro, I usually don’t buy any shoes with shoe lace for my toddler since he’s not able to put the shoes on by himself, while I think for the purpose of a winter/snow shoe, shoe laces are extra secure and I don’t mind help him every time putting them on.If I have to say a con of this shoes, the bottom is not as flexible as regular athletic shoes, I’m also wondering if the toddler has a higher/wider feet, they may feel uncomfortable since the material is on the harder side.Overall, very good quality winter boots for a ski trip.

Shoe is great for a BABY!
The size chart says these are for a 7yo. What came is a size for a baby. While amazing shoes, the sizing is completely off!!! For $70 at time of review, this is disappointing. I got these for a 4yo, and they are incredibly too small. Maybe a 2yo, could wear.

Superior Quality and Design that You'd Expect
As you would expect from this brand, you get SUPERIOR quality and design with Polo Ralph Lauren products -- and this is no exception. Very well stitched that is all tight and clean, no visible glue marks on the rubber base. Substantial metal (brass?) pin/emblem. The shoe is a little heavier than I would have hoped for a little one, but that's also part of the weather proofing I would imagine. Our little one does walk around oddly with them, but our little one is also learning how to walk, so this is also part of that. NOTE these are definitely running a little on the narrow side, so if you child is close to a wide, you should get a wide. And if your child needs a wide, you will definitely need to get that and don't try to go up one size to make it work (you may even want to consider an extra wide, if they make them/available).It's a solid and well-made, well-designed shoe that is undoubtedly going to turn heads and get attention from all those who see your little one -- PERFECT for holiday photos too!!!!!!

Adorable and well made boots
I have always loved the Polo Ralph Lauren brand and these boots are not only very sturdy, well made and cute, they are comfortable and made with great craftsmanship. Keeps little feet warm and cozy for the upcoming cooler weather and snow. The only thing different in the pair that I received is that the polo emblem on the side is embossed and doesn't have an actual emblem of the polo mark like the photo shows. Very happy with these. They are perfect.
