Item broke under normal use

I will start by saying that I love these sandals. I owned a pair of the first generation of powerstep sandals and fell in love with them. This pair lasted less than 2 months and the the left sandals toe hold pulled out of the sandal under normal use. I have tried to contact Amazon and the manufacturer. The manufacturer says that I need to go through Amazon. So far no one from Amazon has returned my inquiry……..Powerstep is replacing these sandals. They are a good product, but I am assuming that they have some manufacturing issue like everyone seems to have these days.....

PAINTED to hide defects!

I got these to try them out since the older style isn’t available anymore. They are softer and the straps a good bit looser so I do miss the old ones. The toe box got wider so there’s the upside since the old ones had no big toe room.BUT - after the first wear I saw something peeling off the surface. Up close you could see that the two shoes weren’t a perfect match, but where the left shoe had peeled they were. I put in the effort with alcohol and paper towels to scrub the paint off the left shoe and sure enough - a defect in the coloration. Instead of just putting that pair on outlet they actually PAINTED A SANDAL to hide the defect! Even more shocking is that they have a paint for that 🤔 buyer beware.
