Finally a shoe with choice of width. Comfortable and stylish
Most shoes I purchase of this style end up returned because they are uncomfortable. I wear a Size 14 and these are not only true to size, but pretty dang comfortable right out of the box. I'm not worried about wearing them in. And for the price, this is tough to beat! Quality is decent and they look good for work or dinner out.
Pros:These fit well!They look good!They're some of the only extra-wide boots I can find!Cons:The midsole is made out of compressed cardboard. It's paper. In case you're not familiar, paper is a material that is famously weak, absorbs and warps with water, and falls apart with repeated use.I've had to reglue the uppers to the soles dozens of times since purchasing these. I'm currently in the middle of trying to replace the midsole with a better material because the uppers and outsole are both in great condition after a year. Why would you ever make part of a shoe out of cardboard???
These are nice shoes and fit decently. I bought for work and they look good with slacks or jeans.
If you're considering these boots, there's a good chance that you're like me and have feet that are a difficult size to shop for and you don't want to spend $500+ on custom chukkas. I normally wear a size 14 2E because I measure 13.5 2E on a brannok device. I ended up finding that the 13 3E (or X-wide as they may call it) was the right fit for me on these Propet boots. As pictured, I got the "stone" color and they appear as a medium gray with hint a brown. It's a nice neutral color that's easy to match.These aren't high quality welted/stitchdown boots and I knew that going in so I kept my expectations low. However, for the budget price, they actually surprised me in quality and comfort. Sure, they're made in China, but the brand seems to have some decent quality control. I expect I'll get at least a couple summers of wearing them a few times a week before they wear out.I've worn them about a half dozen times now so far, so good. I've gotten a few drops of water on the suede and it hasn't shown and discoloration or anything yet. It seems to be treated enough to at least have some resistance to stains and dirt as well.
Never buy this, was dead in 1 month, shoe is synthetic, and wears out in several days, not properly stuck and so on. Had to throw it in garbage.Other products in Amazon are great, but this is worst thing ive ever bought in my life, maybe ill write to Amazon about this scam soon.
